This was a FANTASTIC movie! Not only were the special effects phenominal (as expected), but the performances by Downey Jr, Bridges, and Paltrow were terrific. The Stark role was perfect for Downey's personality and is reminiscent of his previous "playboy" roles. Bridges was a real surprise too, and I thought the look was great!
Definitely a summer blockbuster. I just hope the next flick(s) live up to the first.

I heard nothing but good things about this movie prior to seeing it and I'm glad to say, I was not disappointed. This movie's great. There's a lot of action with some witty comedy mixed in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

That's the word my 13 year old twins used (boy and girl). As an almost senior citizen raised on Marvel Comics, this was a great escape for me. I can't wait for the sequel.

I greatly enjoyed the action. I was originally unsure about Robert Downey as Ironman but after watching the movie I was blown away by his performance. Gwyneth Paltrow was equally great. Jeff Bridges showed me a different side of his acting ability that I had not seen before. I hope that the producers decide to make a second Ironman and keep the cast the same. Would go to see this if made. Again great movie, highly rated.

I'm not a big Marvel fan. My husband and grandson are huge Marvel fans and wanted to see the movie. There was plenety action and some humor. Robert Downey Jr. was great at the Ironman and Bridges did a wonderful job as the villian. I will be telling others to see this movie.

The special effects are certainly a main attraction, but the plot, tension, emotion and humor is solid as well, and well integrated.
I'm usually not a big Action / special effects movie fan, but I loved this movie, it makes me want to go out and read the comics. The characters were surprisingly deep for how quick the pace was.
Downey Jr. tied togeather humor and conflicted-ness, along with I guess "lovable arrogant charisma" into the role, and he had the perfect reactions to those "AHH COOL" special effects moments. The rest of the cast supported well.
***IMPORTANT NOTE*** STAY ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE END CREDITS, there is a special treat and you'll be glad you waited

Good feel-good movie. The good guys are good, the bad guys are bad. And the US is not the bad guys for a change.
The top 4 characters are well played, the movie is well made. Good special effects and other than the suit scenes, blend into the background.

Keeps your attention for over 2 hours. Felt like only an hour had gone by. Great special effects, acting and story. The ending was somewhat anti-climactic and a set up for Ironman part 2. It definitely made you leave the theatre wanting more.

This is one EXCELLENT movie! The actors did an exellent job and the action sequences are some of the best I've seen. This movie would definitely be in the top five of the Marvel movies not to mention in the top ten of the action/fantasy movie category. A definite "must see"!

I only go to the theater if I feel there is a good reason to go, Well there is when it comes to Iron Man, This is a very well rounded movie with plenty of on the edge of your seat action with excellent special effects as well as Humor and even the obvious attraction between Pepper Potts and Tony Stark.

This is a good movie! Don't let the fact that it's super-hero genre put you off, if you are so inclined. This is a really fun movie to see, and I don't believe you need to be an Iron Man fan or nostalgic over the fact you read a few Iron Man comic books in the past to really enjoy this flick. Give it a chance. I predict you will at least like it.
As for the Iron Man fans, you will love it! I think this was the best adaptation for a Marvel Comics character yet (O.K., Spider-Man is a very close second). And the fans can even guess at some of the plot of the sequel (Rhodey saying he'll wear the suit next time is a clue).

I think this movie had it all...a good storyline, humor, action & acting that was believable. Downey, Jr. played his character with just the right amount of arrogance to make you feel like he might be someone you know in your life. :-) Paltrow was just right for the part & everyone played off each other very well. I even think the soundtrack was well suited. In other words, go see this movie! Remember it is a fantasy, so don't look too deeply into how he did some of the things he did.

Really enjoyed this movie. Fun and exciting! Never read any of the Iron Man comics - so I really liked the story of how he was created. Great special effects , great action. Loved the added humor. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect. I enjoyed this as much as my kids!

Let's face it, movies are a diversion. A night's entertainment. Ironman did that well. The adventure was very well done. The effects are super. Don't be surprised to see an Oscar for effects. One can see a sequel comng, and I'd go see it!

i enjoyed watching Iron Man! You were on the edge of your seat the whole time. The cast for the movie played there parts extremely well. There is something in this movie for everyone. This was the best movie I've seen so far.
