Great summer movie! It is worth spending the money to see this movie at the theater. I went with my eleven year old son and there wasn't anything in the movie that I thought he shouldn't have seen.

Robert Downey Jr. definitely made the movie. I don't know a better person to play the part. The story was well written and well played. There was not a single moment where my eyes left the screen.

This was an outstanding movie experience. Filled with elaborate special effects and plot twists this movie kept your attention at all times. It was very entertaining both visually and mentally. I was impressed enough to see this a second time.

Really liked this movie. A breath of fresh air as a super hero film because the hero is multi dimensional and he keeps you interested in his character development as well as the story.
Robert Downey does a wonderful job acting, as does Jeff Bridges, creating colorful characters that are amusing and diabolical at the same time.
Overall, a very fun, entertaining couple of hours. Well done.

This movie has great actors, all of them really make you feel it's all real, The special Effects are out of this world and to me is the best movie I've seen in a long time, if not the best. I already saw it twice! and would go again.

I was a bit shocked to find a movie about a super-hero advertised as PG 13 with this level of explicit and graphic violence. While the effects were great, and there was a definite level of entertainment, I felt that parts - specifically the scenes in Afghanistan - were a bit much, especially for young viewers. Looking around the theater, you could see some youngsters trying to act all tough and grown up but you could see the expression of fear and shock on their faces. I would absolutely recommend this movie to adults who enjoy lots of action and great effects, and a decent story line. In the end, integrity wins.

I have avoided going to see a movie on the "Big Screen" for years because nothing "wowed" me. This move was exceptionally well done & a phenominal cast; great story line; all levels of emotions were considered. However, not suitable for smaller children from what I witnessed in the theater for an early showing. It did seem rushed at the end; better "final battle" sceen should've been considered; Looking forward to part II provided same actors are casted with the addition of the new villan. Thank you for a great moving finally!

A great mixture of action and comedy. Can hardly wait to see the sequel and the Avengers movie. :) I have been an Avengers fan since high school. They transitioned the story (from comics to the big screen) pretty well. Some details were changed (as expected) but the story did not suffer. Good stuff!

Robert Downey Jr., His acting performance is outstanding! I can only hope he Stars in the next Iron Man 2 (3 & 4?) and I can hardly wait for it to come out!
Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson were all were terrific in their acting!
The effects are incredibly believable! I love when a movie can hold your attention that you do not go back to fill your pop corn! Hanging you in fascination of this Super Hero this movie is very well done with a beginning tale that surprised me!
Only one thing, I wish there was more Iron Man action but then that will hopefully be ahead!

This is an awesome movie for all ages!
Downey delivers a very believeable portrayal of his character - and he looks great!. It was sad to see Bridges as the bad guy, but that's one of the reasons this movie is AWESOME. Everything and everyone in this movie delivers to the max!
A word to the wise - go potty before the movie or prepare to hold it because you're not going to want to miss a second of it!

The movie was entertaining. near the end a statement was made inferring that general aviation is unsafe. so that would be an excuse to dispose of the major bad guy. too bad the film editor did not spend a few minutes on the net to gather some stats before allowing that statement to be made.

Excellent Movie!!!
I consistently enjoy comic book hero movies. Even if you’re not a comic book fan you'll love this movie.
I enjoyed the back story even though it isn't true to the comic book and some people thought it made for a slow beginning.
I especially enjoyed the cutting edge, or just beyond cutting edge, technology, which made it more realistic.
Plus, you don't actually know if the nemesis dies, so there is room for a sequel to this story line if not an entirely new story line.
I can't wait for IRON MAN 2!!!

Iron Man is the best action packed Sci-Fi movie I have seen since Transformers, only better. Robert Downey Jr did a superb acting job and told a very sincere, moving and convincing story regarding Hi-Tech weapons. So convincing I even wonder if it really a true story that can't be told. I love the Super Hero movies. However, some have been less than satisfying (see Punisher). Some movies end up being too much like a comic book in the production (see Batman & Robin). This one was none of the above. It was well worth the price of admission. Good writing and a spectacular cast gave this flick plenty of life. I took my 8-year-old daughter to see it. Yes, despite the PG-13 rating, I took the chance. Other than a brief moment of adult content in the beginning, the rest was fine. I'll be buying this one when it is released.

Robert Downey, Jr. brings a great combination of self-confidence, snarkiness and humanity to the role of Tony Stark. Gwenneth Paltrow is an excellent foil as the overworked assistant Pepper and keeps her feelings for her boss simmering just below the surface. Finally, Jeff Bridges plays an outsized version of some of his more grandoise roles as the power-mongering executive at Tony's weapons firm. The special effects are first-rate, and Downey Jr. behaves as most of us would if suddenly given superpowers - with a little fun and some responsibility. Well done!
