Definitely a comedy chick flick but outstanding acting!!! Kristen Wig was A++++++ and my gawd, I watch Mike and Molly all the time but had no clue Melissa was hysterically funny!!! I would see anything she was in now!! Kudos to all the characters.. It all went well together!! This is one I'd watch again and I NEVER do that!!! Kristen Wiig (Extract) wrote and starred in this female version of Hangover. It has a lot of the teenage gross-out humor yet tries to also show a woman's feelings about this time of change. Lot's of bodily fluids flying everywhere and talk about male members but long boring scenes between. Could have cut 20 minutes and made it much better. I hope her next one is. Looking forward to it but I won't be buying the DVD.

It's so seldom that you get to giggle throughout a movie. if you like silly, kinda sweet with great performances, you'll really enjoy this. 5 stars for what it is, and it is a funny comedy, no academy awards here, but this is a bust a gut adult comedy. If you are easily offended then please don't go see this movie, but if you enjoy funny surprise comedies then you will not be disappointed. My only issue is it is a bit long, 2 hours and 5 minutes, and the relationship between the main character takes too long to get there, but you won't mind much because you will be laughing the entire time, just be sure and empty the bladder and pass on the large soda or else...well you get it.

Of course, I would rather that an all female cast could get a movie made without having to add gross-out scenes, but having said that, this movie has laughs, seems real, and is touching -- not an easy thing to pull off. Kristin Wiig is going to be an even bigger star. She is crazy but grounds her character,and her real friendship with Maya Rudolph really adds to the on-screen chemistry. Melissa McCarthy from GILMORE GIRLS and MIKE & MOLLY is fearless. True comedians have no vanity, and she is willing to make you wince and laugh at the same time. BRIDESMAIDS is not as good as THE HANGOVER, but it's a fun way to spend two hours. To Chris O'Dowd: special kudos for an appealing Irish cop that everyone would like to be pulled over by....but traffic stops are never like this, are they?

There were several moments of extreme laugh out loud hilarity. Also some slow spots. Others have said this is not a chick-flick, and on the surface, that is true. However, women will understand all of the emotional undertones of the movie...which makes the really funny comedy parts even funnier - to get a break from the emotional part of it. Some good laugh out loud moments. The cast was great. Some "SNL Skit" moments, but mostly original - not a Hangover wanna be. My criticism, but probably one of my wife's favorite aspects of the movie, was the development of interpersonal relationships between Kristen Wiig and her male counterparts and Maya Rudolph. It showed a depth in Kristen Wiig's character we wouldn't have seen otherwise, but turned a good 90-minute comedy into a comedy with a heart at a little long 2-hours. Worth the price of admission, but I thought Hall Pass was a funnier comedy this year (especially the first half).

The humor behind this movie can only be described as a female version of hangover... However, NO IMITATION whatsoever completely original and great for dudes to watch as well... This isn't the typical chick flick my friends... like a little blonde said when entering the movie, "OH! It's rated R, that means it's going to be funny!" LOLZ enjoy!! p.s. Probably the best comedy I have seen this year, and easily the best comedy I have seen in theaters since Burn After Reading, which was a different type of comedy altogether. This movie was laugh-out-loud funny. The cast was spot-on, and played the parts to the "t". Yes, there was some really gross-out humor, but it was fun to FINALLY see women tackle it and do it so well. Who ever said women aren't funny hasn't seen this movie.

I went into this movie a bit skeptical, but truly thought this movie was great! It had you laughing and at other times I was teary-eyed. It was a great cast and I would highly recommend this movie not just to the girls, but to everyone - boyfriends, husbands. They will enjoy it as well!
