The movie follows the book nicely, with exception of a few things that were added in. The wedding speeches were ridiculous, bordering on pathetic. The scene with the wolves talking telepathically was absolutely hysterical, which I don't believe was the intent. They would have been better off subtitling - the voice-overs were cheesy. The Volturi clip after the credits was so poorly acted it resembled a commercial. However, it did a fair job of depicting everything else, so I am still looking forward to the next installment.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This was the first time i ever did the midnight showing. It was fun seeing how the fans entertain themselves while they wait!! Commitment!! Now the movie was GREAT, I loved that it had passion, excitement, drama and so much LOYALTY!! I really enjoyed the movie and would recommend it!! Jacob is amazing as a loyal friend to Bella. Edward is so romantic and I loved that about him.

I started reading these books 4 years ago with my 11 yr old daughter who now will not go see any of them past Eclipse....so I took my BFF. THIS WAS THE BEST EVER TWILIGHT SEQUEL!!! It was nonstop action and followed the book. Although I missed some of the stuff in the book, I understand to make the film go faster. Couldnt believer part 1 went that far. BUT PEOPLE...DONT LEAVE DURING THE CREDITS....I never do....THERE IS MORE OF THE MOVIE....cant wait til part 2. Stephanie Meyer as the producer!!! WOW....STEPHANIE...YOU MUST CONTINUE THE STORY WITH RENESMEE AND JACOB...CANT STOP WITH BREAKING DAWN!!!

This being the first time I had heard of Bill Condon, I was worried he wouldn't capture the essence of the Twilight experience. I'm pleased to say that he surpassed my expections and did a wonderful job of capturing the important points to carry the story forward. I can't wait to see what he does with Part 2 and see if it surpasses Eclipse. Part I definitely worth more than one viewing and any long lines one might encounter.

Of all the Twilight movies, this one delivered the best! Yes, the beginning was a bit mushy, but if anyone who has ever read the books knows thats how it is! Loved the reception scene (Emmett always has the best punch lines!) After that, it was all downhill - in a good way! The montage at the end made me teary eyed. Reading the book, I didn't "feel" connected with the birth b/c it was through Bella's POV. But seeing Edward & Jacob react, and seeing her so still WOW! **Knew** it was going to end where it did, and it was a perfect spot to leave you wanting more! Can't wait for part 2!

After anxiously waiting for close to a year I finally got to see Breaking Dawn part 1 yesterday. Even with all of that build it it did not disappoint. It stays very true to the book, which for us Twihards is a must, but still added a few good surprises. All the key scenes I couldn't wait to see brought to life were there and were tastefully done. The only knock I have against the whole film is the scene where the wolves are communicating with each othr in wolf form, which comes across kind of kiddyish. Overall they did an awesome job! I'm off to see it again!

This movie was phenomenal! Beyond words! It was amazing to see so many different points of views and how the special effects were done to create the visions from the book. I was very impressed! Definitely the best one yet! The sex scene was a little disappointing compared to the book, but I understand that it had to be cut for PG13 viewing. Also, if you have a weak stomach for blood you may want to turn away in some parts. But other than that, AMAZING!! I'm going to see it again for sure!! Don't forget to stay for the BONUS SCENE at the end, A LOT of people missed that!!

I took my two granddaughters 14yrs and 12yrs who have followed and read the novels. For them it was a great movie and that is what counts for me. Although, the ending could have been better, the movie was good. Would see it again.
