My 7 year old Grandaughter really didn't want to see this "it's not a cartoon?" was her response, but she loved it. We had a chance to talk about how Nanny McPhee changes and why we need to look at the person's inside not the outside - great teaching lessons and fun to boot! Go see it!

Didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the original Nanny McPhee.
I have two little girls (5 yrs & 7 yrs). All three of us went to see the movie yesterday. After we came out, we all agreed the original was much better, but we were glad we saw this one, too.

OK- went for the kids, loved it myself. It was a very funny movie with some really great acting and a few surprises. My 8 & 9 year olds loved it. There were even some tear jerking moments amongst it all. Cyrill's monologue on the poo farm is not to be missed and borderline classic.

My 6 year-old was dying to see this movie. So I rented the first one in order to see the return of Nanny McPhee. We really liked the first one, so we had great expectations for this one. Unfortunally we were disappointed. Too over the top, too much magic... The life lessons taught were good but not very clear as to how the kids got them. The first movie had just enough magic to make it look like it was special. This one had TOO MUCH magic, too "over the top" with the pigs and bird and statues, etc... While the story was nice and some of the points were good to make, it was... too "Over the top" unrealistic and didn't play "magic" as special - but norm. Only little kids would enjoy this.

We loved the first Nanny McPhee movie and couldn't wait to see the sequel. So glad that it was just as good if not better than the first one. My husband and I took our grand-daughters to this film ages 14 and 8. I loved it. The film is not perfect but it gets the job done. It entertains, makes you laugh and leaves you hoping for a third one. Child actors were not as good as the first movie. Nanny was her wonderful self. I would go see a third one.
