I don't care for Ben Stiller's type of humor, but this movie was surprisingly good. It was more serious and despite some of the "humor" of Stiller that I don't like, it was still a good movie. You route for the good guys all the way and while the ending has mixed results, the overall effect of the ending it worth the effort of watching it.
Movie was awesome! Straight to the wedding, which really showed her reactions as in the book. The honeymoon played nicely her anger at Edward for almost "ruining" the moment, and an outstanding job showing the pregnancy. I LOVED the way the wolves talked telepathically - it was different than what I saw in my head. And her dying with the baby was so REAL like. VERY WELL DONE!!! Loved it ending with her eyes opening. he he he
Overall the movie was great in bringing together the story line for a nice finish. However, I was bothered by two things missed from the book. Harry did not save Molly from Valdermort, like in the book, and the final finish to Valdermort was not witnessed by everyone, as it was in the book. Those two things missing made it less satisfying. But that is a problem with all adaptions from books. Still, they could have done worse.
The first movie had just enough magic to make it look like it was special. This one had TOO MUCH magic, too "over the top" with the pigs and bird and statues, etc... While the story was nice and some of the points were good to make, it was... too "Over the top" unrealistic and didn't play "magic" as special - but norm. Only little kids would enjoy this.
I was trying to second guess where SALT actually stood in the story and there were enough twists to make it a challenge. The right answer was one of my guesses but it was worth watching it play out. Packed with loads of punches, an action flick worth seeing again.
Having not read the books, I absolutely loved the movie. My friend, having read the books, did not because the movie did not follow the books to her liking. But that was her problem. I thought it was incredibly powerful with moral and ethics issues and very emotionally moving. I cried the rest of movie after the cat passed away. Like I said above, it was powerfully emotional. Well done.
Not better than the first, but a good sequel. It continued the story and brought up important details to be followed later when this goes on to be an Avenger story :) Wait for the real end.
The movie was awesome. Totally compelling to watch, visually exciting with all the colors, engrossing storyline, and a positive message. Yeah, theme is not "new" but this presentation is worth watching again and again. Everyone with me said the same thing I said: "I could go watch this again"
I didn't care for the level of violence, but I understand why the point was made.
