I absolutely, positively loved it and am going to see it another time and hope to get the DVD. I saw it in IMAX which made it even better, I believe. I thought that it was a wonderful way to give homage to a great artist, and as a performance, I loved the opportunity to see MJ behind-the-scenes. It was up close and personal, but not too personal and I think it gave a lot of respect to MJ. The show looks like it would have been spectacular, and I think this was the right thing to offer to the fans and a way to honor MJ. The editing of the different rehearsal shots was done brilliantly as well.

What can I say?! This is a beautiful film - the music, the dancers, the care taken by the musicians, choreographers, technicians, etc...AND of course Michael! You see how gifted and creative he was. You also see how much he wanted to get the message of Love out into the world. Overall, the movie rocked! I wanted to dance, sing and applaud the whole time I watched. Also, stay through the credits - you'll see why.

This movie is Fantastic! I can just imagine how the concert would have been. You can feel the energy in the film, and see how hard everyone worked, and how they all deserved to be a part of it. I would recommend this move 100%! Michael was the greatest performer ever.

Now that Michael passed away he is with us more than ever. As we go to buy his music and think back to his glory days he gave us all something good to concentrate on in very negative times, more so than if he were living... he is now a legend; and he doesn't have to witness the world going in the wrong direction. If you haven't seen Michael off stage you should see this. He displays what made him great.. LOVE. But where is Love? Inside. The movie shows his deep emotional life. Inspiring. See it for yourself. Oh and IMAX...YES!!!

I have now seen this movie 4 times and counting. It is amazing to see Michael Jackson behind the scenes and his genius on screen. I have only seen one concert The Dangerous Concert in Romania on HBO. His concerts were always out of this world. But I never knew how they came to be. I really wanted to see his thinking behind the scenes to see how he developed his creations. It was even better than I imagined. MJ is so alive on screen that you forget for a moment he has passed away. His music, concert, music videos, and now this behind the scenes to the greatest concert that never happened is what firmly establishes is undisputed title King of Pop. Go see the movie, you will not regret it.

As great as this movie is on a normal screen, spending an extra $4 to watch it on IMAX is so much better . . The screen is crisper, the sound is a 100 times better, and you get to see first hand the "genius" that was Michael Jackson . . Whether it's "Human Nature" or "I'll Be There" or even "Man In The Mirror" at the end, your heart strings will feel a major tug . . The movie gives a sense of "closure" for most fans, but we will always feel like he'll never be gone . . Kenny Ortega really put together a "Farewell to the King Of Pop" like no one else could . . I've seen it 4 times in the first 9 days of release & I plan to still watch it on the IMAX a couple (maybe more) times over.

Put the scandals aside, forget the numerous plastic surgeries-- and how low your opinion of Michael Jackson had sunk over the past years, and see this movie. I was struck with how great the quality of his moves and voice still were. This movie served as a bittersweet reminder of what type of rare talent Michael Jackson was. It will also remind you of what could have been . He was different--he had talent in him that most of only dream of having. When you watch this movie, you see MJ, at work., not the bizarre guy he had reduced himself to over the past two decades.

This was an amazing expierence! It was wonderful to see such a talented and creative man at his best! I had always wanted to see Michael in concert, and unfortunately this was the closest thing I'll ever get! Tears of sorrow poured from my eyes (a few even fell from my hubby's) at the end...the reality that he'll never preform again was devestating! To me he appeared to be healthy and happy and at his BEST! Micheal was a talent that will never be bested! A sad loss for the whole world!

Edge of seat entire 2 hrs. Dancers were incredible. Amazed at 50 MJ wasn't dropping dead after each number! Danced & sang effortlessly. Been an MJ fan from the beginning. If u expect movie to change your views about him it wont happen. Movie merely portrays extraordinary talent & performance. 5th star would've been given if they'd've included interviews of MJ throughout his life so that u COULD get better picture of the person he really was. Movie showed more his directing & perfecting side. What's amazing is the fact that he appeared so poised & graceful under what I would think to b alot of pressure to perform fifty upcoming concerts along w/ sleep deprivation. He was truly one of a kind....... Thank you Michael...RIP

I wasn't sure what to expect but I knew that I would not be disappointed and I was not. It was obvious from the beginning that the movie would be a labor of love for Michael and it is a fitting end to his sometimes arduous journey.
This Is It is a triumph over the the ills that often plagued him and shows the world just how much of a genius he was. It seems almost prophetic now that the tour's namesake was his final epitaph but in it and through it he regains the title of the King of Pop!
IMAX is the truth.

Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal! It is a magical experience: to be able to witness MJ's work ethics and how humble his geniality was! As a former dancer myself, I enjoyed every aspect of what left obvious for us of what would have been one of the best productions EVER! It is shame this release is for such a short period. The fans deserve more opportunities to enjoy their idol. I did twice so far and I am not done yet! If possible, watch the IMAX version.

I have never seen Michael Jackson in concert but I can now ONLY imagine the experience. His aura is one that I'm sure once you come into his presence, you can almost feel his Genius. The movie shed a totally new light on Michael Jackson, the human being. I was immediately humbled and saddened (shed a few tears) at the end of the movie as realization of his death FINALLY hit me. The movie is a MUST SEE!! I also enjoyed the IMAX EXPERIENCE!!

We went to see it two nights in a row, the 2nd time in IMAX. It was just as magical the 2nd time around. I never go see movies twice after watching them, but this isn't just any movie! Worth seeing in theatre! The IMAX picture wasn't really that different from the regular picture to me, but the 12,000 Watts of sound was well worth it! I would strongly suggest seeing it in the IMAX...worth the money!

What a rip off -- this is NOT Imax that I used to see. Screen is the size of regular old time -- before multiplex theaters-- screens.

This was a outstanding film, MJ look in great form and more than ready to go on this world tour. What a terrible loss we have suffered, whether you like him personally or not, he was the master of entertainment. He was in charge and full of awesome song and dance routines that makes you wish you could be a one of his concerts.

Definitely worth seeing. I hear that they had 100+ hours of material and I am wondering if this is all they could come up with. Content was great up until the last few songs, where it peters out. The camera is just on Micheal. It makes you miss the king of pop and what he could have become again. It also shows that he was definitely lucid and vital at least in the footage that was shown. My 77 year old mother attended and she thought it was great. Good for all ages.
