The movie was a feel good film for the whole family. Exactly as it was billed. The acting was good and even though I knew the history, the story was engaging. It was almost ruined by the 25 minutes of commercials and trailers. The film was posted for 7pm and did not start until 7:25. I don't mind 10-15 minutes, but 25 minutes is excessive. If you plan to arrive on-time to get a good seat on a Saturday night, you should not be penalized by having to sit for 25 minutes.

My Brother, Micheal T. Boyd, was the costume designer in this movie. He took all of us to see Secretariat yesterday. What a wonderful movie. It kept your attention all the way through and on the edge of your seat to see what would happen next. I almost felt like I was at the racetrack watching Secretariat run his races. The apparell was stunning, each actor was well dressed for their character. John Malkovich's hats were amazing, as was his attire. Greatest movie I have seen in a long time!

Great movie for families, horse lovers, and lovers of Diane Lane and John Malkovich. Both did a wonderful job. Why was it a surprise? I watched the race 37 years ago and already knew the result. But the surprise was how well the movie presented itself. Even knowing the result, people in the audience were sitting on the edge of their seat at the end rooting like they were at the race for the first time. That was a great job of the director being able to get the audience so pumped up and emotional. Another Disney success.

If you love horses, this is the movie for you as this is a great story of a great horse. If you're not into horses, don't bother. One thing left out of the movie was why he was able to do the miraculous things he did (his autopsy showed his heart was twice the size of a normal horse) and that his off spring for the most part did not share his success.

Highly recommended for movie goers of all ages! This is a feel good movie about remembering to believe in oneself no matter what else is going on around you! After reading that 99% of reviewers recommended this movie, I expected much more than I got. Despite a few funny moments, the Disney movie had ridiculous dialogue! My wife and I (senior citizens) enjoyed this movie very much - it was exciting for a real life adventure. We took our grandchildren (9 and 13) to see it with us and were worried that they would not enjoy it but we were wrong. They loved it and sit on the edge of their seats as this great horse and it's jockey rode into fame for all time. Good Show - Good for all.
