All I can really say about this movie is that its fun watching the actors. As far as movie making goes, there isn't much else. It was fun and it was a stress free movie, and Im glad I went. But keep your expectations low.
Pros great actors
Cons not much substance
Yes, I recommend this movie.

OK, so the movie is far fetched, but the action and excitement is top notch. And the story isn't too far out there that it distracts from the movie. (Independence Day is somewhat comparable). I haven't necessarily been a big fan of Channing Tatum (in my opinion, he's a woman's actor, not a guys guy), but he may have changed that. He did a very nice job in his role. Very convincing and humble in his approach. James Woods plays the perfect character again. He may be the most underrated actor out there. The movie had some political overtones by virtue of the bad guys being conservative republicans, but hey, if the shoe fits....
Go See It!

I was concerned because the critics didn't seem to love this movie, but I read the "user reviews" on MovieTickets.com, and they were a little more generous with their critique. I would say that I agreed more with the critics on this one.
It was fairly entertaining and Johnny Depp, (reprising his Capt Jack Sparrow roll) as Tonto this time, was entertaining. The other acting was good, but the story line of the Lone Ranger character was somewhat disappointing. The hero of this story was not so heroic for most of the movie. However, during the last half hour, when he finally became the vigilante that the Lone Ranger is, the movie really picked up and made it all worth while.
Pros great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I have no idea what the critics were thinking about this? This movie was a blast! The 4 Magicians were superhero like and the actors that played them superb!! Woody is marvelous as usual and Jesse Eisenberg was phenomenal! Mark Ruffalo's acting/character seemed a bit shallow most of the movie, but he recovered for the last 30 minutes. Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine...great as usual. The story and action kept you on the edge the entire time. My date enjoyed it as well. Go see it.
Pros well paced, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not much new to offer thought the story is entertaining and the acting is very good. If you enjoyed the first two movies, you will enjoy this one also. Here is to hoping they make an Ironman 4!

Very emotionally tugging. This movie isn't so much about the plot (though it has a good one), as it is about family dynamics and raising children. Any parent will appreciate the depth of what is going on in this film. The story is excellent and the acting superb. The problem with this movie is that it really isn't a feel good story. But the positives make it worth seeing.
Pros great story, great actors
Cons not a feel good story
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Oz tells the story of how the Wizard ended up in the Emerald City along with how the Wicked Witch became wicked. Despite some slow moving dialogue in the middle, both my date and I enjoyed this movie very much. I wasn't sure if the movie was really going to tie itself in with the original, however the last 40 minutes really did that and made it all worthwhile! The special effects and 3D were very pleasing to the senses. A must see!
Pros tied itself to the original
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The Special Effects were absolutely awesome!! Maybe the best of the series. Having John McLain's son as a CIA agent added some minimal drama to the story. Plot wise, it was hard to bring anything new to the series, but it didn't matter. Fans of John McLain won't be disappointed!!
Pros well paced, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Fun movie with lots of action and no stress. Story revoloved around grown up Hansel and Gretel who now make a living out of killing witches. When the towns kids go missing, the Mayor hires H & G to find them. They not only battled witches, but also the town sheriff. The story wasn't real suspensful and not alot of drama, but the action was fun. Pretty good acting, though I thought Jeremy Renner overacted and was the weak link. I give it 3 stars, but I do recommend it if you are interested in light hearted action flick.
Pros fun action
Cons dialogue
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I usually judge a movie like this on how my emotions were drawn out, and that is why I gave it only 3 stars. It was enjoyable, but the big emotional scenes didn't tug at my heart like some. The acting was top notch and all 4 leads were justifiably nominated for an oscar. DeNiro was incredible. I wouldn't have nominated the movie for best picture and the director Russell probably shouldn't have beaten out Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty), Affleck (Argo), or Tarantino (Django), for the best director nomination. My date really enjoyed it, though she ranked Django, and Life of Pi higher on her list.
Pros great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.
