James Camerons films are always really good. It felt like the feeling of Titanic and the effects of The Terminator. It was made for 3-D and great CGI. This is even ok for kids. This is a film for everybody.

The first hour had me believing that this movie was going to change the world for the better, awakening those who think that war is the only answer. Then it simply turned into another long, drawn-out war movie. Beautiful scenery on Pandora, but I would have liked the movie better, had I left half way through.

I was blown away visually by this movie and I only regret not seeing it on the IMAX screen. I can only say that the story lacked in some areas only because there was so much to cover. The movie would have had to be 4 to 5 hours long to make me completely satisfied. It would be awesome if they made a sequel/prequel about just the planet and the tribes. Just my opinion. Go see this movie if you haven't already in any form you can. It's worth it.

I LOVED this movie...the writing was excellent. Could have shortened the last hour long battle but not complaining. I would see it again and am glad I did not miss it. Totally amazed at the writer and development of this film. Actually, I think it should have won best picture instead of the Hurt Locker.

Amazing movie!!! Story was excellent - pulled you right in to the point that it was heart-wrenching to watch some of the parts. Loved, loved, loved this movie and am very disappointed that I waited so long to see it for the first time! Icing: The visuals impressive, I am not a fan of cgi with real life actors but this was done well. The 3d effects were not a gimmicky over the top in your face style but instead it added depth of field and you got a feeling for the positioning of each characters. You could tell distances between people and objects. It was good but after 30min I started to get used to it and the novelty sort of wore off. i am happy to report that I did not have any headaches! Old 3d movies were terrible.
The Cake: Stale and bland... The story has been done MANY times before (and normally better) while character development was weak and I felt disconnected with the characters. The story was boring, I did not get drawn into it. For example Dances With Wolves is a movie that drew me in... I felt an emotional attachment with John Dunbar and Kicking Bird. I felt anger, sadness, joy, happiness, and curiosity watching Dances with wolves. For example I looked forward to each meeting John had with the Native indians... I was just as excited as the character. This aspect was missing from Avatar and for that I give it 3 stars. The characters were all forgettable.
Like I said Icing is always great but whats the point when the cake is lacking.

My wife and I saw Avatar 3D on 3/20 at one of the few local theaters where it's still playing. We had high expectations given all of the reviews and word of mouth buzz. Indeed, we were not disappointed.
In the movie trailers we saw online, we thought that the CGI looked video game-ish. However, in the theater, things looked very real and rich. The action scenes were thrilling, and the 3D effects were effective enough, without being a "distraction."
Overall, a great movie experience!

The story, action, and special effects were great. Loved the battle scenes, it was slow at the beginning but still enjoyed the movie. A must see, especially in 3D!!!

this movie very good,the 3-D experiance was the best,I had been to 3-D movies in the past,back in the 70's so I did not know what to expect,this is very superior to anything I had seen in the past,I glad I went,great story and action too.
