Went into this movie with little expectation due to all the hype surrounding it. Usually a sure sign of a dud if it needs that much propoganda. HOWEVER... I was very impressed with the movie! Visually OUTSTANDING in Sony's new RealD 3D (version of 3D I saw it in). And the story was very good. Even though movie was 2 HOURS and 40 MINUTES long the story carried you along and kept you very interested in what would unfold next. Would see again for sure. And when you first see the Avatars...heh heh heh. You will be like "Holy cow!" they are awesome. ENJOY!!!

Fantastic story and unbelievable immersion in this alternative world. I couldn’t believe that 2 hours and 40 minutes could pass so quickly. Of our four family members, one became nauseated and didn’t watch most of the film, one had a sleight headache that completely passed ½ hour after the film was over, and the other two were fine.

I saw Avatar on Saturday December 19th and I must admit that I did not know what to expect. What I got was one of the greatest films ever made and it kills all three Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies to me. It also out does the Matrix trilogy in my opinion. Who is to say that there isn't another race like the Na'Vi for real. I cannot remember when I saw a movie that left a lasting impression on me such as Avatar. i would love to be involved with a project such as this. It was cool to see a 3D movie using today's technology. All the people in the audience with their glasses on remind me of those pictures of people in the 1950's doing the same, just dressed up more (like in suit and tie for a movie!). But the movie itself had a totally hokey and cliche story line. Good for little kids who might be new to the basic hero story, but silly for others. Basically worth seeing for others to see where stte of the art technology currently is. (OK, but not quite there yet).

i dont usually go to movies bc i fell asleep. yes, i know tickets are expensive so i should try to stay awake. well let me tell you, avatar 3d is so beautiful, interesting and engaging that even i didnt take a snooze. its a grt movie, a must see at a teather!!! and 3d!

interesting and the story had potential, I would say this was mostly adolescent, too long and Disney-ish. It might be OK for younger people but the special affects were all it had going for it. It was an disappointment overall. I give it a b- to C+.

I saw this movie at 12:05 am on the night that it opened, and it was definitely worth it! The movie was long, but I was totally engaged the whole time.

This movie did a bad job of depth on the main character. However, the film itself is so good that it trumps a major defect like that. I thought this film was fabulous
