This movie was awesomely fantastic. The 3D is not meant to pop out to you,but to enhance and invite you to be part of the "world". You totally get immersed into the film and get into the heads and hearts of both the characters and the military. The bad language could have been non existent, children under 13 (which probably will go see anyway) would love the graphics as well. My daughter mentioned that it was like being at Disneyworld. This is a don't miss!

This show absolutely rocks. I really loved The People, which is how many races refer to themselves. The technology shown for the invaders (us) was absolutely great and yet surprisingly easy for the aborigines to overcome. The show was stunning in it’s depths of color and presented a very believable ecology showing how The People had integrated with their environment rather than making the environment fit them. This show is an absolute Must See for anyone!

Cameron did a great job of combining creative animation with a sensitive, action-packed story line. I was worried it'd get tedious watching for 2 3/4 hrs. but our attention was held the entire time. My 10 year olds and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have to say that I did like the 3D effects in Avatar; lots of action and very colorful, but beyond that the movie had the same plot line as most fantasies and became pretty predictable an hour into it; too long. If you rarely see fantasies (LOTR, Narnia, etc) you'll love this, otherwise it's more of the same.

Dances with Wolves meets Pocahantas meets David vs Goliath. A great movie on many levels, something for everyone. CG is great. Acting is a bit weak and the story is trite. But a nice "feel good" movie. I am a non-smoker but find it laughable that "smoking" now is a factor in determining the rating of a movie.

Easily "Best 3D Movie Ever." The experience was immersive, not in your face (no sword poking out at the audience just "because we can.") I felt transported into another reality. You probably couldn't call it a "great" story, but it was a very good, very engaging story. Considering the length of the movie, I never found myself wondering "is it over yet?" Sci-Fi often focuses on technology either as the hero or the villian. This was a very physical, sensual movie. The next best thing to being there!

The special effects were outstanding, breathtaking and while the love story line was predictable, the overall message about rapacious and greedy corporations backed up by military might echos our own history and is a story long needed to be told. Contrary to all the supposed pre-release buzz about this movie, I had not heard of it prior to being invited to see it. I was completely blown away by the movie, it's amazing 3D effects, and a great story line that captivated me throughout. I researched movie reviews AFTER I saw the flick and am glad I was not pre-biased by some of the stupid negative comments out there by critics. This movie is hands down one of the best in years. Who's agenda is this? This movie is a well-spun religious propaganda movie wrapped in a beautiful sheepskin. The story line coupled with the visual effects makes this movie outstanding. The movie is long, however if you have nothing else to do, its a good way to waste 2hrs 45mins.
