The Boondock Saints II is one of the few movie sequels that is as good, and possibly better, that the original. It's not quite as dark and dismal in overall tone as the first, but it's still pretty dark and gritty. It is also very funny, mostly in part to the character of Romeo and the brothers' interaction with him. A few fun surprises also crop up along the way in the form of unexpected return performances. Fans will adore it, the easily offended will loathe it, and I actually want to see it again. Hooray for the return of the MacManus Brothers and a movie that knows what it is and isn't sorry about that one bit!

I had really high expectations for this movie and I was not disappointed. Great tie-ins with the original but enough of a new story to stand on its own. Definitely worth seeing again and buying when it comes out on DVD.

I drove 5 hours to dallas to see this. It was worth it! I was afraid that a second movie could tarnish the first. Troy hit a home run with this movie. I started having doubts a little over half way in but he made it work. Great job. can't wait to see it again.

As a fan, this movie was everything I could have hoped for. An excellent continuation of the story that's just as fun and full of testosterone packed violence as the first one. A word of caution to those who want to see it, don't go if you haven't seen the first one. This movie was obviously made with the fans in mind. Also, brace yourself for some offensive material. If you are 12 you might like this movie. It is about a couple of really childish guys from Ireland who go to Boston and slaughter criminals, all the while saying prayers and doing religious things. It was the mixing of religion and killing that I actually found offensive about this movie. As a Catholic I do not appreciate hearing Catholic prayers said when people are being executed, that is totally against my religion.

This movie was definitely interesting to say the least. Duffy chose to up the ante on the comedy and also decided to put spins on the storyline. No it was not an in depth movie, nothing to make you think like crazy.
But what this movie did provide as did the original Boondock Saints, was an action movie that dragged you into its story. It made you feel what the other characters were feeling. Yes greenly was a little awkward, but he made up for it with the same jokes he did in the first movie.
Do not get me wrong, some of the cuts to other scenes made in the movie did not make sense, and some of the acting was definitely ridiculous, but it was funny nonetheless and it did not take away from the overall effect of the movie.

This movie is about "getting your Irish on" and drinking, killing bad guys, showing plenty of attitude, and sharing moments with other thugs. Judd Nelson and Clifton Collins act their parts well, the rest can't act. The actions sequences and shootouts are memorable, yet there are parts that lag and drag. In retrospect, this movie was fun to watch only because it turned out to deliver what I expected.

Duffy didn't lose a beat in his sequel to one of the greatest movies ever made. Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is ever bit as entertaining as the original - laughs, action & never a dull moment. GREAT surprise at the end - it was nice not having it spoiled. Story picks up where the first movie left off & even for those under a rock for the past 8 yrs, there is plenty of recapping to catch everyone up. Julie Benz's southern drawl was a little over the top but her character, Eunice Bloom, was a perfect match for the brothers. Anyone that thought this movie was less then satisfying was looking for too much. When does a sequel ever surpass the original-never, but All Saints Day was very entertaining & I look forward to seeing it again soon.

For how long it took Troy Duffy to get this movie out, it should have been way better. Action scenes never disappointed but would have appreciated more dialogue between the brothers, which is usually the best part!

There were some parts that I liked, but there were also parts that were embarrassingly bad. It had its fair share of bad writing and some bad acting from the supporting cast. It was sloppily patched together, but there was something enjoyable about it, overall. I suppose it was the leads who held it together. The first movie is far superior.

The other reviewers must be paid to post that garbage because it's so far from the truth. I just saw this movie last night (opening night) and it's horrendous. The acting is terrible (e.g. the 3 stooges [cops] and the female federal agent). It relies way too much on parallels to the first movie to try and be funny but it ends up simply lacking any semblance of originality. The plot is weak, the accents are poor, and the last right scene is just completely random. I could say more but it'd involve spoilers so I'll leave it at that... Don't waste your $$ on this movie!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first Boondocks and was hoping that the second one didn't fall in to the awlful sequel catergory. Boondock Sanits II was just as good as the first one if not a little better. All I can say is that it was worth the wait.

The original was the best movie of all time in my book, but now a sequel?!?!?! I'm excited and can't wait for it. I wouldn't doubt that this one is going to be worth seeing! And I haven't gotten the chance the to watch anything but the trailors. This will definately be the best movie of the year!

The Brothers are back and this time they've got back up. Out for revenge the Saints take their vigilante stunts to a new level. A must see for fans of the the first movie or anyone that likes a shoot'em up good time.
