This movie was so awesome. The action was really really good. I wish I read the graphic novel to compare. It was more graphic than I expected, but it wasn't too over done and really kept me on the edge of my seat. I even jumped out of it a couple times.

I was blown away by the movie. The characters were amazing and taught a valuable lesson to those out there who wanted to become superheroes, which were almost all of us when we were kids. Aaron Johnson sure had his role down as Kick-Ass as well as McLovin going to Red Mist. Cage proved his worth for an actor in this movie, I liked it. However, Chloe Moretz stole the show. I was so surprised with her character, HitGirl, she was the most impressive in combat. The comedy was top notch. The jokes and gags helped out a lot and the whole theatre was laughing.
Just be warned it's a R rated movie. So don't bring the kids. Other than that, go see it now!

Nearly a year ago a clip at Comic-Con whetted the appetite of many for the film adaptation of the comic Kick Ass. Of course like many snippets from a film in production the worry was can it live up to the promise created by that 2 minute burst of chewy goodness. Well I'm glad to say Kick Ass rose to the challenge and met it.
A warning, the word VIOLENT is an understatement in this film and that is certain to draw it's share of ire among the more "conservative" members of the movie going public.
Aaron Johnson as the titular hero Kick Ass does a good job of bringing a believability to the fanboy wannabe superhero. Mark Strong is in fine form as the main antagonist dancing between menace and sly wink humor. Christopher Mintz-Plasse does a servicable turn as Red Mist.
Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy brings his sense of "offness" to a role that it seems was tailor fit for him and takes full advantage but the movie is totally own by Chloe Morets as the wonderfully over the top Hit Girl. Her portrayal of the tiny terror will last in many memories and with luck that memory will last into the fall as lists of accolades are made .
All in all this film should serve as the perfect appetizer for the annual feast of escapist entertainment that is the summer movie season though I do offer one caveat, this film EARNS its R rating and parents should keep that in mind before allowing their tweens access.

I came to the theater not expecting much but I walked out pretty pleased. The first half of the movie was kinda eh then it definitely got better after that. The story picked up and kicked ass! Pretty funny... nicolas cage was awesome and the little girl was amazing! haha i love her character in it.

The outstanding performance of Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl is the only reason I attended this film. It's a rather ironic film role due to the fact that Ms. Moretz appeared in the first season of 'My Name Is Earl' as a child beauty contestant who was reluctant to display her natural talent for accurately throwing knives. The writers of Kick-Ass set things up perfectly for Kick-Ass II.

From the previews, I knew going into it that this movie would either be awesome or stupid, with no in between. Thankfully, when I saw it last night at the midnight showing, I was blown away by how much fun the movie actually was. And yes, I've seen "Avatar" and a few other movies, but for sheer fun "Kick-Ass" rules. It's funny, it's violent, it's the kind of movie that will have you laughing at the most tragic things. There is something incredibly refreshing about kids kicking ass. I went in to the midnight showing expecting a really good movie, and came out with my mind totally blown away! This was way more amazing than I expected and is now my favorite movie of all time! The actors were incredible, the effects and stunts were awesome, the comedy was brilliant, the gore was super. everything about it was just stellar. Aaron Johnson is one of my favorite actors and this just topped the cake for me. I'm not big on Nicholas Cage but he did a really good job in this, and Chloe and Christopher were darling! I highly absolutely recommend this movie, no doubt about it.

Kick Ass lived up to the hype of the Comic Book series. The movie was true to a majority of the comic. I loved the movie from start to finish. Chloe is going to be a huge star based on this one role. I can't wait for the directors cut of the movie because it will be even better than what you see at the theaters. If you have not read the comic, you will still love the movie. However, I would recommend getting a copy of the comics because they are one of the greatest comic book sets ever. This movie lived up to it's name and KICKED ASS!

I must admit this movie probably isnt meant for everyone but it will probably appeal to a huge audience. Even though we've seen many super hero movies, this one delivers such a unique perspective and realistic feel, that its nothing like anything thats come before it. Its storyline is a little linear but it makes up for it with over the top action, funny (and clever) dialogue, and a diverse cast of characters that makes it easy to like them.
I would highly recommend this movie.

This movie was awesome and the action scenes were plenty filled with excitement. The movie was directed very well and the approach on all the characters really defined them.

I loved Kick-Ass. The film remained true to the comic book mini-series, with just enough differences to make it enjoyably unique. If you like movies based upon comics, then you will love Kick-Ass. It's also one of the best superhero movies ever made.
