this movie was fabulous the special effects were great. I bought tickets online with movietickets.com in the afternoon for a 7pm show. so glad I did was sold out we saw alot of disappointed people leaving. We did have to sit third row from the front but the movie was so good we didn't mind

The movie was interesting, thats for sure. What are you to expect from this movie but odd things. To give to movie an overall rating....I would recomend a friend to see it yes. But even witht the 3d experience, Mr Jonny playing his great acting as usual, and what ever else floats your boat, it just isnt a movie that I would tell someone that they HAVE to go see it NOW. I thought it was an awesome movie! The animation and 3d effects are great, slong with the story line and johnny depps performance. The only thing i would reccomend is that u watch it on the IMAX screen instead of the regular if its provided just because i think the 3D comes out alot omore on the IMAX screen, besides that it was very pleasurable and i reccomend it to everyone out there!

Very dark, very Burton, very, very good! Depp is absolutely the best I didn't see the original so I can't compare but I wouldn't recommend for little, little kids. But my 10 yr old nephew loved it as well. 3D effects were terrific as well.

I enjoy watching Tim Burton and Johnny Depp together. They bring a very different view of stories that we thought we knew as children. They have brought a new vision of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass which is interesting.
The unfortunate part of their vision is that it seems worn. It felt a bit plain. It was so Burton-esque that it was actually a victim of the formula. We have seen Burton do this before, and he didn't bring anything fresh. If you are a Burton and Johnny fan, watch it and enjoy it. Just keep in mind, you will be left wanting a bit more. For those who have not seen Burton and Johnny together before, you will probably enjoy it much more.

The movie was great! Beautiful picture, and beautiful costumes. Johnny Depp was amazing! Even though the story is somewhat different than the original Alice in Wonderland I felt like it made it more relevant to the audience. For me it brought back fond memories of being a little girl and yet empowered me as an adult. Not too many movies can do that in only 1 hr and 49 mins. I would definitely recommend seeing this one in the theater!

It was well done. It involves Tim Burton & Johnny Depp; of course, it was well done. I have to admit, however, that I somehow expected more. Knowing they are capable of creating cinematic "magic" and adding to that the component of 3-D animation, I looked forward to this film with the expectation of being "swept away" into Wonderland for nearly two hours. Although I DID enjoy the movie and admire the effects, I was lost the awareness that I was watching a movie and thus never quite got pulled into that magical, "swept away" mode I had anticipated and ecpected from this film. Was it good? Absolutely. Very good. But was I disappointed? A little, yes.

The 3 D effects are lacking. The queen of hearts stoll the show, but that wasn't to hard. Johnny Depps role was so similar to Beetle Juice that He didn't bring anything to the movie. This movie was way over hyped....just watch the trailers and you've seen the movie. However, seen in 3D it's visually fasinating. Tim Burton usually has a twist of the film noir running through his movies, but this film I found much different. It was a little dark @ times in relation to character and for this reason I do not find it a suitable movie for children 7 or under. I thought it was a fantastic movie in color, theme, and adaptation of literature! The color and the3-D imagery brought this movie to life with vibrance! Better than I expected....Depp was great, so was Wasikowska.
Highly recommended for anyone over 8 yo.

The kids and I enjoyed the movie very much. The characters were great. The scenery was great and I loved all the colors. The Mad Hatter was cooky and crazy. The kids liked The Queen of Hearts big head. We all thought the White Queen amusing with her weak stomach. Good Movie going back to see again, to catch what we missed the first time.

Johnny was great as usual. The movie was a great. Tim Burton did a great job. The movie was a great extension to the original Alice.
The 3D graphics was the best my daugter has seen. She has been to most of them. She did not know if it was the screen or this movie.

I enjoyed this movie immensely, though it could probably not measure up to all the hype the last few months.....I recommend seeing it in 3D for the small details that you would miss otherwise, such as the rocking-horsefly and the dragonfly....definitely a must see

Now mind you, I have not seen the original movie, but I really enjoyed this movie. Tim Burton did a terrific job, as always. Johnny Depp is an amazing actor, and it shows in this movie. The character development was a little less than expected, but it works. I really enjoyed seeing this movie and will indeed go see it again.
