The plot isn't all that believable, but it wasn't supposed to be. Diaz's character goes through some development making it fun to see her change from total naive ditsy to self-confident and purposeful (but perhaps the rapid development was part of what was not so believable). Cruise was as charming as ever as an actor: his action sequences (again totally lacking in reality) are great fun to watch. I went by myself, because I thought it was going to be something my wife would not enjoy. Regretted that. She would have really enjoyed the development in the relationship between Ron and June (perhaps a bit of a chick flick in that respect). I still puzzle over the title. Not sure if "Knight" is supposed to represent Cruise as a Knight in signing armour. I think "Day" has something to do with the theme of "Someday" that brackets the story line. Definitely entertaining!!! and if that's what you want, go see Knight and Day.

A silly, over the top comedic romp that has some slow moments but if you need a break from reality, you may enjoy it. Cruise seems to understand just what this movie is supposed to be and does a pretty good of delivering his lines to garner a chuckle or two. Diaz is the same as she usually is in any of her romantic comedies, you either like her wide-eyed "schtick" or you don't.
I think the "wink" in this film really comes when the director goes out of his way to come up with scenes to display Cruise's pectorals and Diaz's figure.
Was it as good as the movies it has been compared to-"Mr and Mrs Smith?" or "True Lies?" I would say no but at the same time, I felt my $12 ticket plus popcorn was a fair price to pay for the two hours of escape I got out of it.

This movie was a cute, but predictable romantic-action-comedy - - and there-in lies the problem. Not quite enough romance for a romance; not quite enough action for the adrenaline seekers; and not enough comedy (or good belly-laugh comedy) for a true comedy.
This is a tough combination to get right, and the perfect case of a 5-star example is the James Cameron movie True Lies.
You'll enjoy this film when it comes out on DVD to rent. But no need to buy and no need to see on the big screen.

This movie reminded me that in spite of Tom Cruise's public relations problems, the talent that brought him to the big screen has not gone away. He and Diaz have excellent on-screen chemistry and this film is an enjoyable romp that doesn't take itself too seriously. Like most action movies, you need to suspend your disbelief for a couple hours and just enjoy the ride. I'm not typically an action movie fan but this one made me smile and was a nice escape from the summer heat.

I definitely recommend seeing this movie. I love Tom Cruise and he did not disappoint, and I thought he and Cameron Diaz were great together. The story was not the deepest ever, but let's face it - we're not going to this movie for the storyline. The action was good, scenery/locations were gorgeous and Cruise is always very easy on the eyes, too. He just gets better with age!

After reading a review that said Tom Cruise' career was obviously over with this movie, I can definitely say that it isn't. This was an excellent movie, lots of fun, plenty of action, and both Cameron Diez and Tom Cruise were terrific. It just totally convinced me not to read reviews. As a former TV producer and someone who is a real movie buff, I hate to be disappointed by a movie. Fortunately, I wasn't . I was talking about this movie at a party tonight and someone asked me if I thought the media was out to get Tom Cruise--and I said YES! There is no other explanation. Go see this movie!
