The only reason i went to watch the movie was because my bf seemed excited about it; however, i didnt like the idea about paying $15 bucks per ticket. Dont get me wrong i have nothing against the movie. i like them but when they redid it for 3D they didnt go all out ,nothing too fancy but it was a good recap because i had forgotten what happened in each film

I was so excited to bring the kids to see these moives, as they absolutely love them, at the movie theater and got them all excited about the fact that they were going to be in 3D. I was really, really disappointed. Love the movies, but thought there was going to be so much more in 3D. Wouldn't recommend that people waste their money, just watch them at home and save money on popcorn!

I have seen these movies too many times to count, so I had become numb to how awesome the animation really is. 3D enhanced everything, and it was wonderful to see these on the big screen again! I noticed small details in 3D that I hadn't noticed in my hundreds of times watching this on DVD. My 2 1/2 year old had a hard time sitting through both movies--which is understandable-- but she was still able to watch the movies without the glasses on! 3D animation has come such a long way! Thank You Disney for another great Toy Story Experience!

I love these movies and was excited to see my first 3D movie. I was a bit disappointed. While the graphics were great there weren't many 3D points in the movie. The televisions that are out now have the same kind of graphics.
I hope if Pixar or Disney decide to do this again they remake the movie to have better 3D points.

I loved the movies the first time with my son And it was even better this time in 3D. My son know's it word for word. He had BUZZ and WOODY in our truck so he could play with them on the way home after the movie. He loved that we went back into see another movie too. I can not say that he has one part that he loves the best he loves the movie from start to end.

I've seen these movies countless times, so needless to say I was excited to see that the movies were coming out in 3D. WRONG! There was hardly any 3D in the movie and the little that they had weren't that special. I was more excited for the 3D previews than the actual movie itself.

I was super excited for these two movies to come out in 3D. Day arrives, excited all day only to see the movies and there's really nothing special about them and I spent $10. The 3D wasn't all 3D. I think Spy Kids 3D had better 3D effects. The picture was super clear which was nice but I could make that happen at home with a DVD. It wasn't all it was hyped up to be. I would recommend buying the DVDs yourself and watching them at home.

Well I have already seen these movies a hundred times, and they are still my favorites. The 3-D didnt really seem 3-D, however...I expected some more interesting things to "pop" out of the screen. But of course if the movie was made to be 3-D then that would be different. Take the kids, I missed the preview for Toy Story 3, which is REALLY what I wanted to see, the movies themselves were more for the kids =)

Ok so whats not too like about Toy Story... But calling this a 3D film was very disappointing... I have seen other movies on my 1080p screen appear more 3d than this did... But other than that hey I love Toy Story 1 & 2
Oh also now that i am way older i really noticed a lot of more cruel comedy i didnt notice before...

I decided to take my mom to see the movies, since she didn't remember much of the first movie. There are so many details we noticed, which gave us a deeper appreciation for the talent behind the animation and the story lines. We also liked how the 3D features were perfectly added to the animation. It wasn't too much were it distracts you from the storyline, and yet enough to enhance the experience. Oh, and the 10 minute intermission is cool! :)

Well of course the movies were great, as they were in the past. However, with seeing it in 3D, you really got to see much more rich and clear details. My wife and I actually noticed some things we never saw before. I love that they did this, and we are wiating with bated breath for Toy Story 3 next June.

The double feature, 'Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3-D' was even better than it was before. With known actors and actresses as the favorite voices of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and more, this event is one you won't want to miss.
I saw the first two in theaters, and I just loved it.
Even with a sneak peek to 'Toy Story 3', this is showing everybody that 'Toy Story' is back and here to stay.

At first I was concerned that the double feature would be too long for my 5 and 9 year olds. Both are girls and we had really missed the whole Toy Story craze, so this was a first for them, as well as for my husband and myself. We all really enjoyed the double feature and there was a helpful intermission b/w films. We enjoyed Toy Story 2 slightly more. But the writing in both is very witty...my husband and I found ourselves laughing really hard many times throughout. And both kids had a great time too. So I couldn't have asked for more- not surprising, since Disney really is the best at kids' movies! Can't wait for Toy Story 3!

Disney's ability to create 3D is much greater than what was added to these movies. There were many times when the 3D could have really knocked you off your socks, but no additional animation was done from the original movies. I really thought when Zurg was shooting the balls, or when other things were happening in the movie that the 3D would have been really taken advantage of- but it wasn't. I've been to Disney World and seen the 3D "awe" that they can do, but no additional $ was spent on this movie to add those type of features. We've seen this movie a hundred times and it was the same as the first hundred times.

Both Toy Story movies are great although I don't think the 3D made that much difference to the movie quality. The 3D effects weren't dramatic enough for all the hype. My 3 and 7 yr old boys liked it but both thought the whole production was too long.

My husband and I have seen this movie with our 3 grandsons MANY times at home -so many that one grandson was actually able to recite dialogue. It was still very enjoyable to us and them (Ages 2 5-year-olds and a 3-year old). They did get a little antsy towards the end of the second movie but still enjoyed watching with the 3-D effects. We've seen several movies this summer that were 3-D and we liked the effects on this movie the best.

It was so cool seeing these again togeather. And the 3D was just enough to keep it new and watchable in the Theater with out feeling like I was wasting money on somthing i can just rent and watch at home. The trivia in the middle added a nice touch to the intermisosion. The only down side was that the families that brought kids had a hard time keeping them interested for the rntire doubble feature, and ended up being a minor distraction.

I have both of these movies numerous times, and even so, I still laughed out loud during both. No, there are not "pop out at you" special effects. As others have described, it gave the picture more depth. I was able to spot things in the background that I have never noticed, and this made it an enjoyable experience for me.
As for the complaint about the size of the 3D glasses- don't blame the theatres. They have no control over these. The type of glasses depends on the projector. In most cases, the glasses are either Real-D or Master Image. While these are larger than the paper red and green lenses, they provide a better picture than the earlier style.

Some reviewers seem disappointed that the 3D effects in Toy Story & Toy Story 2 were not more dynamic. Of course, the movies were not originally designed in 3D, and that actually is a strength, in my view. What carries both movies are the great stories. Despite watching them multiple times, my wife and I and our children enjoyed the 3D versions because the plots are so strong in both films.
Some of the latest films use 3D almost as a gimmick. In Toy Story & Toy Story 2, the understated use of 3D complements the movie nicely, rather than overpowering it. It adds to the visual enjoyment, but is not the main attraction.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My husband and I took our 2 1/2 year old on opening day. He has seen the first one many times on DVD in our home, so he got a little bored during the first movie, but he loved the second! He refused to wear the 3D glasses until the last 20 minutes, but that wasn't a big loss for him. Not sure why they chose to re-release it in 3D since the movie wasn't really designed for it to begin with. There are a few select moments when things pop out nicely, but most of the time the 3D just adds some depth to the movies. Definitely go see if you've got little ones, but don't expect amazing 3D action, just great stories.
