I took my 7 year old and 4 year old niece and nephew. They seemed to like most of it; but both were asking, "Is it almost over?", "Is it time to go home yet?".... The glasses were way too big for the 4 year old, therefore he watched most of the blurred movie without the 3D effects. He would have been better off in the cheaper, non-3D version. The 4 year old giggled at several parts and I laughed at many parts that neither of them understood. I didn't think the monkey throwing poo* was funny, but I thought the whole theme of the movie was excellent, though nothing like the award-winning book.

Our whole family really enjoyed this movie. My 3 and 8 year old laughed out loud along with my husband and I quite a few times. Very funny and heartwarming story. We all fell in love with the characters.

Well I took a 2, 5, and 6 year old to watch this movie. None of them liked it. I thought it was kinda cute but it really wasn't worth paying 40 bucks to go watch in theater. I went to this movie with my 10-year old son. We both love movies of this type and were looking forward to this one. The movie itself needed improvement in the 3D department. After a while, I was debating why we had 3D glasses on. Where were the effects? Other than that big thing, the story was so-so.
The bottom-line is that if you are looking to take your children to a good family movie with a few laughs and to have a good time, take them to this movie.

My nine year old daughter and I loved this movie. The 3D and animation was simply over the top. The story line and plotting was just terrific. The poignant moments were just right, not too short so that you wondered did I miss something and not too long that you forgot what was going on moments before or after poignancy. We saw this opening night. It was hilarious! The kids will love it and adults can't help but laugh. Fathers and Sons should see together, but this is great for everyone.

I took my 4 year old to see this movie and it was fun, cute, humorous. I really enjoyed it. It was as good as I had hoped it would be. I cannot wait till it comes out on DVD / Blue Ray. I would go see it in 3-D if you can. Totally worth it.
