I really enjoyed this movie. I was in it from the word go because being a parent helped you understand the motives of the husband and wife characters. I may be a little biased as I think Harrison Ford is great and is fitting into the grouchy old man role very nicely. I think Brendan Fraser and Ford work really well together. There were good tension breaking laughs and I heard sniffles throughout the theater. It is definitely worth the watch.

Good movie and a true story all in one it shakes the heart strings with a family dealing with a deadly illness and the determination of the father to make something happen really sucked us into the story. It was better than I expected. I brought kleenx but it was more uplifting than a tear jerker. Facinating story and even better that it is based on real people. I thought it was interesting how you learned about the disease in pieces along the way, so it wasnt overwhelming. By the end of the movie, you have a true sense of how this disease, like many others, effect many people in many different ways.

Not a great movie, but not bad either. Seemed very similar to Lorenzo's Oil. But, that older film covered this ground much better. Still, the movie heightened awareness of a disease I hadn't heard of previously and was a good night out with my 11 year old. She thought it was great and I'd guess that other children will too.

This was one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time. This family's struggles with not one, but two children afflicted with a devastating disease are all very real. This father's determination to bring to market a medication that could potentially help them - and other children like them - is inspiring and is an example to others that one person, one family, can make a difference. What was glossed over some was the struggle that, I'm sure, the research company faced getting the FDA to approve the medication for test-marketing. Casting was *excellent*!!!

I felt the story itself was very compelling. Harrison Ford did a great job. However, Brendan Fraser lacked an emotional connection to the character. He seemed to have a flat affect. He didn't seem to elicit the emtional reaction I felt sure the story would produce. I left feeling like I saw a good story but that it wasn't told with the passion I expected.

Wow! Great movie. One of the best I've ever seen. Way better than I expected. Fraser, Ford and Droeger all gave outstanding performances. Fraser was perfect as the father. This is the best work I've ever seen from him. He did a great job conveying the emotions of a father who knows he could lose his children at any moment, but is determined to save them at all costs. Meredith Droeger was adorable! Remember that name. The kid's got talent. Ford was outstanding as always. He nailed the role of a grumpy, anti-social scientist. That's the character and Ford nailed it. I want to see this one again! This is a movie that was perfectly scripted, perfectly cast, and perfectly acted. Great entertainment based on a true story. Beautiful movie!

I found this story a little close to home. My son's friend died at age 16 from complications of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, so I couldn't help but draw comparisons. How fortunate for this family that the father had these connections and the tenacity to see this through and never, ever give up on his children's lives. The acting was superb. The curmudgeonly Dr. Stonehill (Harrison Ford) and the stop-at-nothing Dad (Brendan Fraser)...the little girl who obviously lived every moment of her life to the fullest. If only all children could be saved like these were...the world would be a better place. I donate in every paycheck to the MDA, hoping someday there will be a cure for all types of this disease.

Brendan Fraser really played his part well. Loved the story. Harrison Ford was too cranky for my taste.

Once again...the book was better than the movie!!I would recommend reading this wonderful book..THE CURE before seeing the movie.But that being said Brendan Frasier was wonderful as the desperate Dad looking to save his children from this awful genetic disease.Harrison was a little over the top as the cranky research doc.I wish they had fleshed out Keri Russells role as the caretaker/mom while her husband was off trying to find a cure for their children. Definitely worth it....

I was hesitant about seeing this movie, after seeing the reviews. However, I am glad I went anyway. In these crazy times, everyone can use a movie that is inspiring. This movie deals with real issues, and the will to do anything for family. Brendan Frasier and Harrison Ford were a great combination for this movie, and I would highly recommend it.
