Funny movie! It is not a movie for the 'entire' family, but I totally enjoyed it. Steve Carrell and Tina Fey were great, and Mark Wahlberg was VERY nice to watch! I went to see this as a family movie, thinking it would be tame enough. Well, it was, but just barely. There was a ton of laughter coming from all those high school kids - there's a lot of sexual content here. There were some pretty funny scenes, and an awesome car chase (though too short). The advertisement for the Nook was just plain stupid.

Other than dragon training, there has not been many fun movies this year. Yet here these two superb comedic actors manage to pull off a sleeper of a hit. From waking up with their kids jumping on them at 4 am, you know this is going to be both real and funny. A very tight script keeps you wondering how they are going to pull this off. The slight twist at the end makes it all fun, even the weird car "chase" scene. I only wish there was more to the movie.

This is a must see movie..if you like lite hearted, romantic,action comedies. The chemistry between the two main characters flowed so perfectly with an awesome supporting cast. Romantic Comedies often get a bad name from reviewers, like those two aging metro-sexuals on ABC weekends. It's not about the plots -- we usually know how they're going to turn out. It's about how the story supports the relationship between the leads and the inside humor contained therein. Date Night delivered in that regard. Despite the zany caper and its (hilarious) freak-show weirdos surrounding Tina and Steve, their characters always kept the love between them alive.

I was a little hesitant to go to the movie after seeing the trailer - it looked like one of those slapstick comedies where the whole movie is really in the trailer. I was wrong. My girlfriend and I laughed till we wheezed. They did a good job of keeping a connective sub-plot alive in every scene, plus a lot of the scenes were actually ad libbed by these great comedians, so it felt fresh and funny rather than predictable and slap stick.

Great movie, very entertaining. Highly recommended. Don't expect Kurosawa/Bergman/Buniel/Wells, just go to have a great laugh.
