I'm a big SATC fan and I loved the first movie... but had VERY low expectations for the sequel. I still think they should have let it go after the first one, as it wrapped up SO well. But they didn't.
This movie was okay... but that's the extent of it The clothes were great but really... Abu Dhabi?! I didn't want to see them on a sand dune... I'd rather see them on 5th Avenue.

"Lawrence of My L*bia"... need I say more? Samantha is back, proving women can still be sexy and enjoy their lives post-menopause. Carrie is back, proving that women don't have to have children to live a fulfilled life. Miranda is back, proving that its ok for a mother and wife to also love her career. Charlotte is back, proving that all the women we envy for their "perfect lives" are sometimes secretly crying in the pantry. Stanford is back, proving you don't have to be a virgin to wear white. Big, Aiden, and Smith are back, proving that they're still so freakin HOT. Harry and Steve are back, proving that the ordinary average guys usually make the best husbands. Can't wait for SaTC part 3. Definitely just a romp of a film, rather than the dramafest that devled (expertly) into a bevy of issues in the first film. Clearly made for two distinct purposes, this film felt like something you cannot quite put your finger on was *missing.* Likely due to plotting to set up yet another film in the franchise, specifically wherein Carrie & Big decide where to take their relationship. Sex and The City 2 was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. We had a "girls night" which included dinner, the movie, and drinks afterwards. The movie was a waste of 2 hours. We should have stayed at the restaurant and chatted over drinks, we would have had a much better time. My advice: skip the movie... it is borderline unwatchable.

The worst thing about this movie for fans of the series and the first film (such as myself) is watching the strong, wonderful women we've come to love get thrown under a bus with bad dialogue and no plot. It's not the actresses' fault, it's that whoever wrote this movie either hates women or never saw the show. Sure, the ladies love shoes and fashion--but that was never the point. The point was that they could be successful enough to get them on their own. Here Samantha comes off as pathetic instead of secure, Charlotte as a spoiled, whiny idiot (a full-time nanny and you can't handle the kids, really?), Miranda as a half-assed tour guide, and Carrie as a 15-year-old in her first serious relationship.

It was good to see how they have progressed and again what they would like for future. It's typical Sex & the City - with the one liners and set-ups - so if that's what you liked about the series then you will like this. The way they set it up that all of them needed to get away - far away was actually good - dont feel they "jumped the shark". There could always be another with years progressed and I would go see it.

This was a fun, relateable, laugh out loud movie. This was a girl's night out, went with my 3 lovely daughter's. There was something for each of us in this movie from the challenges and joys of being married, a mother, or a woman of a certain age (50 or over), to the seemingly carefree Carrie, married with no children. The four of us were anxiously awaiting CITC2 and it was well worth the wait. We had drinks and appetizers at Flemings then to the theatre. Samantha's lines and sexual antics were hysterical, Charlotte's mothering and drinking expressed good acting, Miranda was actually very pretty in this movie, didn't like her outfits, and Carrie showed tenderness, class, her beauty and fabulous body. Some of her fashion choices left a lot to be desired. All in all we loved the movie.....................

I really liked the beginning and was excited because I thought it was going to be great! But it was too easy to guess where the story was going, it was contrived and unworthy of being a SaTC movie. Samantha's "display" at the end, while very in-character, was EXTREMELY offensive. If a tourist (as Samantha is) came to America and did something so disrespectful, people would be after her head, not laugh. And their "saviors’" secret was ridiculous. What a shame that the writers went for silliness and an easy laugh rather than making a movie all could enjoy.

Sequals most of the time fail. Sex and the City is about 6 girls, the sixth being the state of New York. I was cautions when I found out that it would be set in another country, but on the other hand I figured it could do no wrong. Well I was wrong, the ladies characters were not their loveable selves, they actually got on my nerves, and I know that Sex in the City is known for being quite ranchy but the movie unncessairly took it over board this time. I loved the first one so much I walked out smiling and couldnt wait to see it again. this one I would NEVER see again. it was just thrown together.

I am a HUGE SATC fan - I have been waiting and waiting for this movie, watching the trailer a million times, pre-ordered the soundtrack (equally disappointing) and even hosted a cocktail party for my girls before we went to see the much awaited sequel. The first movie moved me, I cried and laughed and loved it SO much but I walked out of this movie and sort of felt....wanting something different. I was so bummed, the characters sort of seemed like cartoons and the connection was sort of lost. It was fun and I loved the fashion, maybe I need to see it again...
