I really liked this movie, but not quite as much as the first one. It was fun, the fashion and setting is incredible, and I laughed out loud many, many times, esp. at Samantha!! Plus, who can resist these girls? They are all so fantastic!! I love how they can be so out-of-this-world, yet so down-to-earth at the same time. This movie wasn't quite as deep and didn't have quite as much heart as the first movie, but it was still great!! I'd see a 3rd and a 4th...and any more that they want to make!!

I was a little disappointed, but I am ambivalent about it. I liked the story line. I and alot of women could relate to it. It had some funny moments but there were some draggy moments as well. I don't think it was as good as the first movie, but perhaps I was just eager to see Carrie and Big get together. I think Samantha's character made this second movie. I will buy the DVD. I miss the series. I hope they continue making more Sex and the City movies.

Sex and the City 2 was a blast! It was a laugh out loud comedy that made me forget where I was for a few hours! Granted, it wasn't as great as the first movie ( due to some completely unbelievable plot lines and some WAY over the top fashion), but it was good. The first movie was was a dramedy (more drama, less comedy) and this movie was a comama (more comedy, less drama). But, it did get the central theme across--that every woman needs her girlfriends and we (as women) need to cherish those relationships. Girl Power!

It was good, but not sure if it was BETTER than the 1st?? i didn't cry, but i have to say, it was funnier than the 1st. expected a bit more as to the idea of bringing smith jared back; i thought there was going to be a story line about something wrong with little rose, like some traumatic illness, since she was crying all the time (seemed like she was hurting in real life). it seemed like she was miserable, not just going thru terrible 2s. not sure that i saw the humor in some of the middle eastern culture depictions that were written in. i can say that when samantha was let go of the contractual meeting for being so disrespectful, that is what she gets for being that way...what an arrogant american she was at that point! that was depicted precisely! liked the idea that they kept 'carrie and big' a couple w/o kids, because there is nothing wrong with that. i had fun w/my girlfriends watching it....may possibly watch it again

This movie was OK. The truth is, now that everyone's married, the sexual tension that was so much fun in the series just isn't there anymore. (I didn't see the first movie; maybe if I had, I'd have been ready for that.)
Samantha's a total caricature of herself, and Charlotte's crying baby had me wincing and covering my ears. I mean, what did they do to that child to make it cry like that? And, in real life, a baby who cries that much might have something really wrong. (Can you tell I'm a mom?!?)
The spark in the writing was gone, too. I always thought the series was so clever, but these double-entendres were rather flat and few and far between.
On the plus side, the fashions were great (except Samantha's Mad Max getup with the spikes ~ just too gross to even be funny), and there were some very good-looking men around. Always nice.

I was disappointed with SATC2. The storyteller tried to get too many aspects of women's lives under one movie, not going deeply into any aspect, except somewhat superficially the marital hiccup between Carrie and Big. The overall feeling was as if the author was trying to pack several episodes into one movie without much continuity. In the beginning the feeling was that SATC2 was a vehicle to advertise the "new Middle-East", but the expectation that, beyond that, something real would develop in depth (Samantha's professional opportunity of doing business with an Arab conglemerate, the possibility of someone falling in or out of love/lust, etc.) just vanished... The film had a weak storyline and basically fell into the trap of trying to duplicate success of the 1st without its attention-grabbing power... Pity!

It was a very funny and fun movie. They hit the nail on the head regarding women and their experiences with marriage, children. career, menopause, and nannies. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I thought that maybe with it being a sequel that it might not be very good, but I was pleasantly surprised. There were a few things that were over the top and some that were sort of corny, but it's Sex & the City!!! If you're a fan, you know what you're signing up for when you buy the ticket. And screw what the critics are saying, I love Samantha's character and I loved the scene where she was waving the condoms in the air, flipping the bird, and screaming "Condoms!" at the top of her lungs. That was great!

I was shocked w/Sex and the City 2 - I honestly went in with the thought that it was going to be horrible, silly, corny, and not much going on. but I was soooo wrong! The movie touched SO many different aspects of women - it was amazing. From the single gal, to the woman in menopause, to the mother of 2, to the mother of 1 with a career, to a newly wed couple - it was all amazing!! The acting was toned down this time around - which helped it not be annoying. The story-line was awesome. I just loved every moment and will seriously buy this when it comes out. I am a true lover of SATC and they stayed true to what SATC truly is - great great job! Seriously ladies, GO SEE IT!!! It is soooo worth the $11

I was so excited to see SAC2 and it was good, but just couldn't live up to the hype! Aiden was only in the movie for like 5 minutes! But still enjoyed it, just not as much as the first.

I rarely base my decision to see a movie on ratings or critics. I wanted to see the girls together again and enjoyed all the antics and even cried near the end - Big and Carrie always get me. Yeah, some of it was just plain dumb, like the karaoke scene, but for what movies cost these days, I was pleased it was just long enough to get lost in and even though the girls are pretty much better off financially than the average middle-class they touched on topics familiar to all; the working moms, the aging newlyweds.
I hope that Hollywood's taking a note - so what if the girls are aging - there are still good movies to be made with women who are NOT 20 years old and new to the world. More, more, more!

SATC2 was so much fun! The first movie was good, but very depressing and dark at times. The second movie is light-hearted, funny, but still has some deeper moments. It's more like the series episodes were back in the day. I had low expectations, but was very pleasantly surprised!
