Movie was good, but some parts were just ridiculous. Samatha would have gotten her ass hauled away, actually they all would have in abu dabi for behaving like they did. Also, abu dabi really?
Everything was a bit too happy ending. Yes, I know we want that but sex and the city use to be able normal single woman..now that they are all (minus Samantha) have someone shouldn't thier lives be more like other women in relationships lives?

I thought SATC 2 offered about what you would expect...great clothes, lots of fun and then you have a serious twist (not going to give it away...Aiden is back!!!). The reviews bashing the story line, are fairly obvious...what do you expect, it is Sex and the City we don't watch for the serious, developted story line. All in all I thought this was a fitting continuation, married, children, working...the general life issues that arise when those are combined. I must admit as a mother of 2, Miranda and Charlotte's scene in the hotel room really got me. I love SATC.

I loved this film. It was fun and I enjoyed Samantha's antics. I like how they poke fun at the duplicity of the Islamic culture. They are filled with excess and yet only the men can enjoy it. The bellydancing loophole was interesting to learn about as I always wondered about that. I think the people criticizing the film are too sensitive...it's a movie. I didn't see all this uproar over Miranda's 'follow the white guy' comment in the first flick when trying to find a new apartment.

I was disappointed with how the producers and directors chose to have these women act. We've all come to love them as smart, sassy and champions of womens' rights -- but in this movie, what did they do? They were so self-involved in their problems (even more so than usual), they not only ignored the plight of women in this country, but Sam blatantly acted in disregard of strong cultural rules and laws regarding how women are to behave. I love Sam's character, normally, but I do not believe it was right to have her character act in such a stupid and callous manner regarding the culture in this country. Any other woman would have been detained and stoned for her behavior.
But other than that, and if you could ignore the underlying theme of how women are treated, it was a fun movie.

The series and first movie were fun, interesting as you watch the girls learn from their experiences with jobs, men, marriage, and children. This one has too much excess about how much they HAVE. And while Samantha's antics and behavior was funny in the series, by now have become sad and embarassing. First of all, I am a hugh fan of the show and the girls. I was so excited for the movie and to catch a glimpse of what the girls are up to now. Any person who has at least a single synapse firing understands that SATC 2 is NOT a gritty documentary of real life New York women but an over-the-top FANTASY of 4 uber-women who have spent most of their adult years striving for perfect lives. These lives include becoming a partner in a high powered law firm, becoming a mother of adorable, perfect children, bedding any man in NY and marrying Mr. Big. Since last we met (SATC 1), the ladies have achieved their dreams. And yet they find their lives are not perfect. The law partner works in a high stress office where the senior partner has no use for her even though she sacrifices her person life for the office. The high society mother has 2 children who cry non-stop, often for no reason, and nothing she can do will make them the perfect children she desperately desired. The party girl finds that menopause has zapped her libido and she needs to carry around a tackle box of vitamins and hormones to make it through the day. And the bride discovers that Mr Big is really John, an over stressed Wall Street exec, who just wants to come home, eat dinner and watch TV.
Over the course of the next 2 1/2 hours, the ladies learn that you have to live for each moment in order to be happy. That troubling times pass, either on their own or with action, that people often are held accountable for poor judgement and poor behavior and that you should cherish the relationships you have rather than the ones you thing you are owed.
Dispersed during this lesson learning time, there are sex, alcohol, fashions, burkas, birkins, very politically-incorrect jokes and hijinks that are taken out of Marx Brothers movies.
So, if you are looking for a meaningful experience, watch Schindler's List, if you are looking for 2 1/2 hrs of summer escape, go see SATC 2.

Because I had heard the critics had panned this movie, I went into it with some trepidation. The girls erased all doubts within a few minutes - this movie is FUN! The clothes and scenery were fabulous, but the movie lacked the character and storyline depth that made the show so relatable. The characters don't seem so much to be real women anymore as they are caricatures, and for the most part, instead of having real problems, they engage in shenanigans. The friendship and glamour are back with a vengeance! All the women look fantastic! Worth going to just to see the sites, men and feel the connection of the women. It's definitely a movie to be seen with your friends to celebrate female bonds. Next time I will enjoy it with a group of women in my home - toasting to the realizations that these women make in their lives. Bravo!!!

I've been a SATC fan for years, and was anticipating this movie for some time. Although it was great to see "the girls" in action, I thought the movie was too long and the men were relegated to the back of the bus! They have alot of talent there, and they were treated more like props. Thank goodness Chris Noth was allowed some screen time!

I wanted to see SATC2 although I heard it got bad reviews and now I see why the critics didn't love it. It was just "something to do" for me, but I did love Samatha in this one! The girls in true fashion make you wish for the "Good Life", but the better emotional rollercoaster was definitely in the first SATC.

"Empire State of Mind" clothes are to die for! Like the way they dealt with women cultural differences. Was amusing and humorous. Liked the relationship issues dealt with.

As a huge S&TC fan, of course I liked it, even though at times it is a little over the top and a little too long. But the ladies still got it! The writing definitely was not as sharp as the first movie or the tv series. But I still liked it!
