I was disappointed with how the producers and directors chose to have these women act. We've all come to love them as smart, sassy and champions of womens' rights -- but in this movie, what did they do? They were so self-involved in their problems (even more so than usual), they not only ignored the plight of women in this country, but Sam blatantly acted in disregard of strong cultural rules and laws regarding how women are to behave. I love Sam's character, normally, but I do not believe it was right to have her character act in such a stupid and callous manner regarding the culture in this country. Any other woman would have been detained and stoned for her behavior.
But other than that, and if you could ignore the underlying theme of how women are treated, it was a fun movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
