Kevin James was in great form in this character. The plot was a delightful way to teach children life principles. Often the one thing or person we think will make us happy is right under our nose. It is also best to be yourself and not try to be like someone you weren't created to be.

ZooKeeper was funny and charming. It was exciting and kept us entertained throughout the movie. The animals were awesome and seemed to actually be talking. The best part is when they go to TGIF and the gorilla orders 30 oranges when he could have had anything. After which he sings and dancers. Great fun.

I took my 14 year old daughter to see this movie and we laughed the entire time. It was a great movie. They were correct in the rating because there was some crud humor (1 that added no up value) so pay attention to what PG means. Don't take a 5 year old to any PG movie they are to attend G. I thought it would be too much drama stuff and not much humor, but it was the opposite making it very enjoyable.

We were so disappointed in this movie. Kevin James was really funny, but the whole premise of the movie is trying to get a girl to like you, versus talking animals. I took my 9-year old and 5-yr old boys (we also had 3 girls w/us aged 6-9) and my boys were not into it. At their age, they were there to see talking/funny animals, not a date movie. There were some funny parts, but I agree w/other reviewers that this movie really pushed the PG rating w/the crud humor, and just the boy/girl relations overall. My young boys were just not that interested in it. Very disappointing, as this movie could have been really good given the cast.

Zookeeper is what most could expect from a typical Kevin James PG family "comedy movie" - except there are a few scenes that stretch the PG rating into what should be PG-13 (and those scenes are not very funny and unnecessary). In a nutshell: there are about 15 minutes of mildly funny PG antics + 5 minutes of inappropriate "PG-13 humor" + 84 minutes of "filler" .... all of which is entirely predictable. Just not worth your ever-increasing hard to scrape up movie-moolah. Rent later if you must. Last word - where were the talking rhinos? Big boo-boo to not include some friendly talking zoo rhinos! A "please make me laugh" rhino horn down.

This was more like a strong PG13 thanks to the snake zookeeper played by Jamie Chang. I like Jamie Chang, but I walked away realizing that if he appears in the movie then there will be inappropriate material for children under 15 years old. I know that many children under 15 years old are familiar with smut. PG declares suggestive humor and this stepped beyond this point with more uncomfortable..but just be warned. We were looking forward to seeing the movie and it had a lot of potential. The kids loved Kevin James as the Zookeeper and the actors betraying the animals were stellar. I would only recommend this for teenagers if it will hold their attention. It is a one watch movie. Won't see it again.

I took 6 yr-old girls to see this while my husband took some older kids to Harry Potter. It was definitely appropriate for young kids. Not always the case. No crude jokes I can remember. I laughed out loud quite a few times when the kids didn't because something went over their heads. That's always nice. Humor that is above the child's level yet not crude. I didn't know Adam Sandler was the producer, but it made sense when I saw his name in the credits. It is totally his genre of humor.

A friend of mine took my 6 year old to see this while my husband and I saw Harry Potter, this is what my six year old thought of it: "I loved it, it was really funny. the gorilla was very funny. The gorilla at the restaurant was my favorite part!"

I thought this movie was a ton of fun. It never really slows down and is very straight forward humor.

I enjoyed the movie very much and most of the time I was laughing my head off. I only gave 3 stars though because of the plot. The storyline was weak and a movie needs more than talking animals to carry it along. All in all I would say that this is mainly a kids movie because the plot is so simple.
