Eclipse took the Twilight franchise to an all new level. The caliber of acting for all of the actors was definitely taken up a notch. David Slade did a wonderful job telling a story that was action packed and entertaining while still staying faithful the the series' book fans buy tugging at the heart strings. All the way around, Good job guys!

The cast did a great job with Eclipse. Robert Pattinson is Edward Cullen. He has done a great job with the character. Kristen has also matured with this film. She is more sure of herself and it shows on screen. The rest of the cast was great as always. I love that the director stayed in line with the book. Thank you Stephanie Meyer for the saga.
Don't know how we twihards will last to November 2011.

I went to the premiere in LA and was standing near reporters that kept asking people walking out what they thought and the facial expressions was enough to say it all, they were blank and a bit confused. Well now since I, too, saw the movie I walked out with the same expression and understand what it means. See I pay very close attention to details and there were many mistakes that happened that made it hard for me to watch. Such as the powder used on the vampires if you look you can see it on their faces and arms and at other times they would be a normal skin color so make-up didn't do a very good job at it. Secondly this could have been avoided with a less amount of close-ups right on the actors this comes in with direction. The director needs to learn how to use what shots in what situations and how to hide the flaws of others. That's why see so many good actors, they probably all horrible we just see the good part that comes out in the end due to the directors job. There were times he should have been using close ups and times he shouldn't. Also there were times where he had a wide shot or medium shot and should have used something else. Besides the fact that the quality seemed to be rushed to get the movie out in time and that they should have have taken a little more longer to make it worth the while you always have those male characters that make it all and they did a wonderful job in getting every teenage girls attention. It was still being sold out on the fourth day it had come out so hats off to you. And you know all those girls care about is the male leads. I happened to be at the Sterling Heights location when Bronson Pelletier came in and the things being shouted by these girls was unbelievable, the most surprising was "Take your shirt off!" And coming from an audience that mostly was under the age of 17 and if they weren't they were with their children I was shocked.

My wife and I both liked this one the best! It felt like they mixed the action and romance more evenly this time and the best book in our opinion was the one this movie was based on. We both liked the fact that they formed an alliance to protect Bella and the funniest part was the interactions between Edward and Jacobs rivalry with the love they share for Bella....

Very good movie, great humor. However, I have to say that my new favoriate characters are Alice and Jasper. The were wonderful! Can't wait till the fourth movie. My macho husband went with me and even enjoyed it with the same favorite characters!

The Twilight series is like a warm brownie with hot fudge and vanilla ice cream on the side. Not much to complain about, as long as you like brownies and ice cream! Like many folks, the Twilight books are even better than the films, but the latest installment of Eclipse did not disappoint. It is sad to think we must wait so long before Breaking Dawn is released. With all the other vampire dramas on TV and cable now, there are alternative outlets for filling the void left behind.

Great movie!! Solid plot and great special effects and action scenes combine to make a movie that is actually worth paying to see. Normally, I wait until a movie comes on cable because most are a HUGE disappointment but this one does not fall into that category. Glad I went to the theater (rather than cable) - the special effects and actions scenes in Eclipse are better viewed on a large screen.

With only a few exceptions, this follows the storyline in the book beautifully... Naturally, there is no way that anyone could include everything in a book without making a movie many hours too long.... Stephanie Meyer's books are so incredibly rich in details and depth...and would present any screenwriter with multiple dilemmas as to what should and should not be included. Ms. Rosenburg seems to have done well. Especially beautiful are the meadow scenes (in the beginning and at the end) and the proposal (where she finally says yes). I do wish, however, that she had left in the line, "Angry grizzly bears are going to look tame compared to what is waiting for you at home." Obviously, because they cut out Alice kidnapping Bella for the "slumber party"... and all the surrounding story line...that fabulously funny quote was not included.. too bad.. But, the movie does a great job overall.... the action, the emotional interaction of the characters...the visual beauty of the cinematography ...and the great portrayals by the cast.. I would definitely recommend it... Can't wait until it's out on DVD!!!

Love the Twilight Series, ECLIPSE was a bit disappointing as it 's "fight" scene only lasted a few short minutes and they could have done so much more with it.
