Even though I saw the movie the day after it was released, I still cannot shake off the disappointment I feel in how the movie turned out. All 4 Twilight books are amazing. The first 2 movies were quite good. This one had very few scenes that were memorable and from the first 10 minutes into the film until the 5 minute battle scene at the end, I was tempted to walk out of the theatre. I can't believe all the closeups of the actors faces throughout the whole movie. I feel like that they didn't even need sets for filming because the whole movie consisted of the entire movie screen with mostly Bella, Edward and Jacob's full face taking up the whole screen. We could literally count the pores in each of their faces. It had become quite annoying. And where was the wolf pack???? Their importance in the book didn't quite make it to the screen. All the hype about what an "action packed" movie this was going to be and how the guys are going to love it - turned out to be a very short fight scene with the newborns at the end. The build up was such a let down. The showdown between Edward and Victoria was about the only scene that worked for me. Otherwise, I can say that this movie was definitely not worth the wait. I can only hope and pray that whoever directs and is involved with the making of "Breaking Dawn" does it justice.

The movie was by far the best so far, yes, even better than Twilight. I was glad to see more about the Team Wolfpack, sorry Eddward/Jake fans, but I just adore the wolfpack...Paul, Sam, Jake's dad...and cutie newcomer Seth...they are all a great team together. The CGI of the wolves in action was totally rockin' as it was with the Vamps.
The friction between Jake and Edward was very much believeable this time, both actors have come a long way into their character and it leaves me waiting and wanting MORE!
Charlie was awesome as usual, and yeah, I like the dad's a whole lot...as I am closer to their age.
The Victoria/Riley and Jasper/Maria storyline was something you don't want to miss. Jasper was fantabulous! I wish a movie could be developed for each couple to share their stories in detail.
I didn't care for the actions of the Voluturi, that must be latin for Vultures or something the way they act...don'tcha just love to hate them?
Speaking of Volturi...what was the exact purpose for killing Bree Tanner? I mean she did nothing to them, she was nothing to them? That was the one irritation in the show...there was no REAL explanation for her death. I guess with the Volturi there doesn't need to be one?
Can't wait for Breaking Dawn...will it be in 1 or 2 parts do you think...like the HP movie? Two would be better than one because I'd prefer Ms. Meyer to continue writing about these characters!

I don't think I'd spend the money to see it twice, but you never can tell. The movies, like the books, have their failures -- author wanders and pads a bit too much and the characters are a bit wooden. I think those who see the movie without having read the book will be left in the dark in places. The movie had to leave out much just to stick to ONLY 2 hours. But it was fun, the good guys won, the villains were foiled and there's an incentive to attend the fourth in the Saga just to find out what happens to the loose ends.

I loved this movie. Almost as much as i loved the book. It had my favorite thing of action. Vampires and wolves fighting together to take out a common enemy. This unlike the other movies stayed really close to the books but it also went the extra mile of filling in some gaps that the book itself acctually left. It also really showed how uncontrollable and unstable the "Newborns" really are. The visual effects were amazingly close to the book. The only thing i didnt like was it seemed as though everytime a charactor was talking they had a close-up on their face. So close in fact that you could really see Kristen Stewart's (Bella) freckels. Other than that the movie was great. I so want to go see it again and enjoy it again.

Kristen Stewart actually suprised me with her performance - very good.....best done of the 3 movies so far. Robert Pattinson looks like he is trying WAY to hard in the movie. I enjoyed the perfomance of Taylor Lautner and enjoyed the humor he brought to movie.

This movie was really really good but...they need to make the movie more like the book. They've gotten better with that throughout the three movies but its still not good enough. If the movies were mostly like the book, more people would like them. Other than that though, it was a wonderful movie.

The movie was GREAT! I really liked that the coloring wasn't all muted like in the first movie. Although I LOVE the first movie too! I have a couple things that I was disappointed about though, the movie should have been longer to include more of the book. It went along with the book very well, but soooo many good things were left out, I could and would have easily sat through 3 or 4 hours LOL! The second thing I'm disappointed about is that I have to wait for Breaking Dawn now! Loved the fight scenes! Loved Jacob's line about being hotter than Edward (although I'm TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY). I'll be going back again this week to watch it again!

Although I've read the books in order to keep up with my daughter's interests, the books ARE better than the movies thus far. However, watching this movie left me feeling bored and I kept checking my watch. New Moon was much better than Eclipse. And it is my belief that Eclipse's movie sales are sagging, as reported, because the interest isn't as fierce. We will not be seeing Breaking Dawn Part 1 or 2.

It's got to be hard to condense 439 pages into two hours on film, but David Slade and the cast did it! I think this is the best "Twilight" movie yet! The opening sequence is great - a nice departure from Bella's "flash forward" monologues - and told me straight away this one was going to be a thriller. Having read both the book as well as the "Bree Tanner" novella it was obvious to me which scenes had been cut, combined, etc. but it in no way detracted from the story line. In fact, the three combine in such a fashion that things from the book now make much more sense when presented in a new light. Favourite scene? That's a tough one, but I'd have to say the Volturi watching over the destruction in Seattle is among them, as is the fight scene with the Cullen's and the wolves vs. the newborns - great action and special effects. Also great character development with Jasper and, to an extent, Rosalie, and of course it's great seeing Bella, Edward and Jacob continue to grow into their roles. Noticed a couple of interesting things; Jasper's accent was definitely more Southern US in this film and Carlisle's was a bit old world, but again, that only served to enhance the experience. Overall, two thumbs up and I am definitely looking forward to the next installment!

I thought this movie was far and away the best movie of the Twilight series. The fight scenes were intense and the story was well translated from the book. I love that the quality of the movies have improved so much. However, whoever put that wig on Kristen Stewart needed to re-evaluate or it needs to be in her contract that she have longer hair!

I saw the Trilogy on Tuesday/Wednesday, yes I sat for 7 hrs and 50 min. (with breaks in between) to see the story of Edward and Bella unfold again and to see the latest chapter. I absolutely loved it, loved it, loved it!! Then I went again on Saturday with my kids. I dont know why they say this movie is for teens. I am 50 and I see more and more people of all ages and men going to see this movie! This is the best of the 3 so far, and I will be going to see it again with my friends next week. Getting the DVD is fine, but I recommend to all, that you see this movie at least once on the big screen, you are going to love it! The fight scene is a must see! The audience in my group was clapping throughout and at the end! It's just Awesome!

I liked this part the best yet. I was disappointed in Bella's hair. They didn't get it right. The scenes with Bella & Jacob were perfect. Edwards love for Bella was shown to perfection. The fighting sequences could have been a little more for me, but overall great movie. The books still beat the movies in my opinion.

For one month we've seen nothing buy interview after talk show re: this movie and it's characters. I loved the books; have read and re-read. Can't tell you how many times I've watched Twilight and New Moon. Although this movie was the best so far, it had its moments of BORING and that's the reason for only 3 stars. It followed the book to an extent but there still was something missing. No doubt I'll see it again; maybe my reaction will be different. Then again, I'm not a teenager whose outlook would be totally different -- been there.

I saw this movie at Midnight June 30th and loved it so much I went back to the theater to see it again! If you are a Twilight fan, you'll love it as it stays true to the book. It completely captures the hypnotic, addictive love that Bella and Edward feel for one another and who doesn't love seeing Jacob without his shirt on? However, If you didn't like the first two installments, you won't like this one either. I loved it and can't wait until Breaking Dawn is released. Too bad it won't be released until summer/fall of 2011!

A fun movi! True to the book. The uneasy alliance between vampires and werewolves makes for a lot of suspense as well as humor. My kids enjoyed it too - although my 10-year-old squirmed at some of the heavier romantic scenes.
