Even though I saw the movie the day after it was released, I still cannot shake off the disappointment I feel in how the movie turned out. All 4 Twilight books are amazing. The first 2 movies were quite good. This one had very few scenes that were memorable and from the first 10 minutes into the film until the 5 minute battle scene at the end, I was tempted to walk out of the theatre. I can't believe all the closeups of the actors faces throughout the whole movie. I feel like that they didn't even need sets for filming because the whole movie consisted of the entire movie screen with mostly Bella, Edward and Jacob's full face taking up the whole screen. We could literally count the pores in each of their faces. It had become quite annoying. And where was the wolf pack???? Their importance in the book didn't quite make it to the screen. All the hype about what an "action packed" movie this was going to be and how the guys are going to love it - turned out to be a very short fight scene with the newborns at the end. The build up was such a let down. The showdown between Edward and Victoria was about the only scene that worked for me. Otherwise, I can say that this movie was definitely not worth the wait. I can only hope and pray that whoever directs and is involved with the making of "Breaking Dawn" does it justice.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
