Although I've read the books in order to keep up with my daughter's interests, the books ARE better than the movies thus far. However, watching this movie left me feeling bored and I kept checking my watch. New Moon was much better than Eclipse. And it is my belief that Eclipse's movie sales are sagging, as reported, because the interest isn't as fierce. We will not be seeing Breaking Dawn Part 1 or 2.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Took my daughter per her request but was looking forward to this movie. Seriously, it is the same plot that Hollywood keeps putting out, same as The Mummy, Sahara, etc. Your kids will want to see this movie, of course, but you will be able to draw the same parallels as Titianic to Pearl Harbor. Even the action scenes did not impress me. My daughter said she "loves this movie", but I did find her laying down her head on the arm of the chair quite a few times. Overall, I wish we'd seen Shrek Forever instead of this one.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
