There is so much off screen hype that it is hard to like the movie. I have read all 4 books so I am familiar with the storyline.I did like the movie but was it great?No. Will any of the Twilight movies be great? No. Are they entertaining? Yes. Will I go see the next one? Yes. BTW - I prefer Jacob.

So far, this is the best in the series. Awesome storyline, characters and scenery. I love Rosalee and Bella's bonding scene. A lot of co-existing in this movie...can't wait for the next one!!

Overall the movie was not bad, but was really expecting more. At times the movie was too slow and felt like it was missing something. I have not read any of the books but hope the second half is better.

Enjoyed Eclipse as much as I enjoyed the book. Lots of romance & close up shots of 3 stars. Special effects in fight scenes were good. Werewolves were awesome. 2+hrs - you get your money's worth!

This movie was excellent! Each movie in the series gets better and better! The acting is better, the CG is better, the fight scenes are awesome! I like how they made sure to bring Jasper and Rosalie's history into the movie as well. I also like how we get a look at the newborns, and not just from Bella's prospective. After watching it, I almost turned around and went right back in to see it again!

Eclipse was good, but felt, like for many adaptations, that parts of the book that I felt were important were left out or altered.
Dialogue in the movie could be worked on a bit. I still find some of it cheesy.
I thought that this movie was going to be really heavy, because New Moon was; however, the movie was light and fun. All in all the movie moved pretty fast and was entertaining.

My husband and I are HUGE "Twilight" fans and could not be happier at how this movie turned out. Even though "Eclipse" did get a little mushy at times ~ there is a love triangle thing going on and it is a big part of the series ~ we loved it! Unlike "New Moon" where there were some duller moments, Eclipse kept your attention from beginning to end ~ the battle seen at the end, alone, is worth the price of admission ~ it was AWESOME!!! I would ~ and have ~ recommended it to friends and family and hope to see it on the big screen again real soon .... cannot WAIT for "Breaking Dawn"

I'm a fan of the books so the movie is always gonna come up a little short! If they could make them Lord of the Rings long I think all of us women would be happy with that, but I think the men we drag there would shoot themselves! Anyhoo, I've already seen it twice and I liked it just as well as the 1st 2 movies, which was a lot! As for my husband, he liked it more than the first 2 because it had more action

I really like the movie. I don't "live" Twilight, and only saw the first two movies about two weeks before this one came out. It's a sweet story and taken in the context of what it is...FICTION..it's delightful.
The action is awesome. I even went back a second time with another friend.

A perfect combination of love story and action-adventure. THE KISS was amazing!! It was interesting to see some little parts that were added to the movie that were not in the book. The best movie of the Twilight Saga so far. Can't wait for the next 2!

BEST MOVIE EVER. Sat in line for 15 hours. I would do it again. My daughter and I went to the midnight showing and then she went again at 6 pm that night. LOVED IT!!!! :-)

Better action, which is what I want to see. By the end of the movie I was wanting to see Bella's head and arms ripped off her body. Not sure what the effect is that they're looking for by having her stare at the chin of whomever it is she's talking to. But the movie was entertaining and my 10 year old loved it.

Okay, in my opinion I would have had more fun sitting in my front yard and watch the grass grow. I thought the movie was dull, the action was lackluster, and the acting was terrible, but I am a guy. Now my daughter and wife thought this movie was a terrific romance story. They absolutely loved the movie. Guys, fair warning; if any of your girl friends want to see this movie they will really enjoy it, but you will be tortured by it.

I can see that the movie did a good job telling a story. I will admit to not being familiar with the books.
There were times when I thought the movie moved a bit slowly. But, I can see why the 'idealized' vampires and wolves are an attraction to the young people. The nearly 'cerebral' nature of the vampires in the movie are quite different from the simply bloothirsty' vampires of movies in my younger days.
But, each generation has its 'spin' on things.

Eclipse was much better than Twilight and New Moon. The acting was much better from Kristen Stewart, which made it much easier to swallow when 90% of it is her in front of the camera. :/

The movie was alright.. I liked NEW MOON better, but this ECLIPSE was ok. The movie does get corny everytime, but i guess that'sthe point of it since it's a love story. BREAKING DAWN, not soo great. I read the book and oh no! Way too lovey-dovey. Overall, it's average.

I was very impressed with the book-to-movie dialogue, and although the nuances and inner feelings of the main characters couldn't be captured on film, having read the book I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The tent scene did NOT disappoint either! Will see it again and again and looking forward to it!
