By far the best of the three so far. I especially enjoyed the back stories of how some became vampires. There was even some comedy in there with one liners. The acting has come a long way since Twilight and the directing has been the best to date. A must see if you are a Twilight Saga fan. To those who are just being part of the crowd, you will definately enjoy this movie.

Very, very, very good. I took my 11 year old daughter and her two best friends. We sat in line for 9 hours and had a blast. We met great people had a picknic, read Eclipse and Harry Potter out loud to other movie goers. The movie was awesome. It followed really close to the book. Best one so far. I want to see it again tomarrow. I laughed and cried. I think even the actors got better. It was just great. I say watch it.

Overall very well done. Alot closer to the book than the previous three. They kept many of the original lines which added to the humor that was sorely lacking in the first one especially.
I didn't like all the close ups and they made a few changes that I wasn't crazy about - Edward getting his butt kicked at the end, would have never happened - he's a mind reader, he can anticipate every move. They make him appear weaker in this movie (and in NM) than he is supposed to be.
Also not wild about Bella jumping on the back of Jake's bike - it was out of character for her to choose him over Edward.
But Everything else was great. I loved it and plan on seeing it many more times.

We saw this movie at 12:01am last night. The screaming girls took a little bit away from the movie, but we enjoyed it immensely!!! Very true to the book, with added one-liners to make the characters funny and more relatable. Can't wait for the final installments!!!

I am a big Twilight fan. Loved New Moon. This movie didn't quite live up to my expectations. Action sequences were great but I didn't feel like I was watching a 21st century movie. Wardrobe was pathetic for Bella and hair and make-up did not look realistic for the rest of the cast. Romance between Bella and Edward fell flat compared to New Moon. This director dropped the ball. I really hope this will not be the same director for the last two installments of Breaking Dawn.

I am not a Twilight fan. I saw the 1st and thought it was ok. saw the 2nd and wished I had ear plugs. This time I think they got it right! Loved the show, but felt a little uncomfortable watching it with my daughter. The books are rated a 4th grade reading level so having never read the books I didn't realize some of the sexual content.Over all we enjoyed, and it gave us the oppertunity to discuss some of the content openly.

I went to the midnight viewing of Eclipse and it was amazing. The 6 hour wait was hard but it was way worth it in the end. This was by far the best out of the three. The fight scenes were incredible and just by seeing this one I know the last will be amazing.

This was the best of the 3 by far. They incorporated a lot of lines directly from the book, which was awesome. The wolves looked great. Loved the back stories on Jasper and Rosalie. Can't wait until Breaking Dawn.

Eclipse was surprisingly good. It definitely made New Moon look like it was made in about ten minutes. There were things that weren't in the book, but it added to the suspence in the movie. If you loved the book like I did, you're going to love the movie. I want to go back again today just to watch it again!!! :)

me and my friends have been waiting for this day for a long time!!! with all the regular getting together confusion i was just hoping this one would be slightly better than the others. But when the movie started rolling me and my friends really got into it, were laughing and 'awwwing' along with the rest of the crowd!!!! in my opinion and all of my friends this was definetly the best twilight saga movie yet and we just can't wait for breaking dawn!!!

Eclipse was so good, and I must admit that I haven't read the books. But they make it perfectly clear for those who haven't read the books as to what's going on. The acting was great, especially from Kristen's who's was better than in the past. Taylor and Rob were amazing, Taylor nailed being almost aggressively affectionate. And of course he was drop dead gorgeous. The plot was great and the action scenes were fantastic. Great movie.

I have read all 4 books in the series, and Eclipse was my favorite. I was really looking forward to this movie for that reason, but I was also nervous about what they would include. I think the movie did a great job of following the storyline. It included information and details that were important to understand the characters, especially Rosalie and Jasper. The fight scenes were even better than I expected, and I liked that they gave the character of Riley a bigger part than the book. My only disappointment was the triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob. In the book, Bella is much more torn and upset at the end when she realizes she loves Jacob. I understand though how that doesn't really work for the flow of a "romance" movie. The book made me cry. The movie left me wanting a bit more. Overall though, I think it's the best movie so far.

Of the four books, Eclipse is my favorite, so I was somewhat afraid that the movie wouldn't live up to my expectations. I need not have worried...although in three places I waited for my favorite lines to be said and they weren't used (bummer).

I love these books. And now I can say that I love (not lust like) one of the movies as well. The relationships, cinematography, script, everything came together beautifully. I have seen it twice now, and it just gets better with each viewing. David Slade really did an amazing job bringing this story to the screen.

This was the most entertaining of the saga so far. I enjoyed it because it was not as moody, and action was mixed in with the romance. The special effects were not bad either. Some things were cut short (for example, the legend of Taha Aki and spirit warriors), and characters had to be cut as well. Imprinting was not explained in full detail and will have to be for "Breaking Dawn" to make sense to fans who will only watch the movies.
My biggest beef was: why do they keep changing the vampires' hair? Vampires are supposed to be frozen, never changing, yet it seems each member of the Cullen family has a different hairstyle in every movie. Yet Bella Swan, who is supposed to be human and changing, looks exactly the same from one film to the next.
I realize many details had to be left out in order to make a two-hour time limit. "Eclipse" was still great, regardless of how it differed from the book.

I really loved the movie, I thought it was really sweet how Edward showed Bella how much he loved her over and over, I didn't like Jacob trying to change Bella's mind but I felt kind of bad for him toward the end cause he loves her too. I want to see Bella and Edward get married and have Edward give himself to Bella like she wants.
