It's always difficult to adapt a book to movie form, but overall I felt they did a great job. My book club read this book last year and went as a group to see it and we all felt it was good. I wish they could have found a way to incorporate more of old Jacob's life at the nursing home, but that would have just been too difficult and confusing for movie format. The sets, scenery and costuming really made you feel you were in the 1930s. Acting was wonderful. Loved Rosie (Tai) the elephant. Thouroughly enjoyed it!
This was the best of the 3 by far. They incorporated a lot of lines directly from the book, which was awesome. The wolves looked great. Loved the back stories on Jasper and Rosalie. Can't wait until Breaking Dawn.
As a huge fan of the books I had been eagerly anticipating this movie. The first time I felt it was a bit rushed, but the more times I see it, (#9) the better it gets. There are parts that are could have been better, but overall I felt it captured the essence of the books. The kiss scene alone is worth the price of admission! Rob is a fabulous Edward and I felt he did a fantastic job conveying the huge conflict raging within him. The rest of the cast was also well portrayed although I felt Kristin was not as warm as Bella is in the books. I wish that they had made it a little longer to allow for more character development, especially Alice and Jasper. Can't wait for the DVD and New Moon.
