With all of the hype of this movie, I was expecting a lot more than I got! Not impressed with the confusing story line. It's one thing to have a mind-bending theme but to never fully develop it is another. This is the type of movie that you have to fill in the blanks for yourself. The special effects and acting were good. Personally, I would wait to rent this instead of seeing it on the big screen.

The previews lead you to believe it will be a fast paced thrill ride the entire time. Well, it's not... and the movie is two hours thirty minutes long. Takes a lot of build up and character building to bring you to the crescendo at the end, which had us talking about it days later.
Great visuals, good story, action could have been more bam-pop from the beginning, or the trailers should have portrayed it a bit differently.
This is a MUST see - you will enjoy it and think about it. Story is original, acting is fabulous, visuals are stunning, action is great.
People have asked me to tell them what precisely about the movie is great. Well, I don't know about you, but I don't want to spoil it for you. Kinda like sixth sense back in the day, ya know? You need to enjoy and experience it yourself.

I was so excited to see this movie because all of my friends said it was the best movie out there and all the reviews I've seen said it was amazing. I finally got to see it yesterday, and I was happy with it but I expected a lot more. Amazing actors, great effects, but I thought the plot was a little weird. I love the fact that Christopher Nolan took a risk by doing a movie about the subconscious mind. I thought it was very unique, but overall I didn't think it was the best movie out there. I would reccommend seeing it though!

I went to see this my husband,son & his friend. I love it! Very intense but you truly have to pay attention. I usually ask questions during a movie. I was a fraid to turn from the screen in fear of misssing anything. Superb acting from all the players and the premise for the film was exceptionally creative. Overall, a very thought-provoking and imaginative film. The special effects were impressive. On the down side, my family agreed that there were too many LOUD action scenes, which after a while became tedious and made it difficult to appreciate the excitement. Overall, character development was thin with very little back story, which made it somewhat difficult to care more about the characters. Overall, though we all enjoyed the movie and left the theater thinking about it.

The 2.5 hours flew by as I tried to "peel the onion". This is definitely a fresh idea from director Chris Nolan. I don't think I had everything figured out by the time the movie ended, but three days later, I'm still thinking about the movie. For me, that's a sign that I saw a really good movie.

Inception was just ok. There was lots of action and destruction, but it was short on connected plot. The multiple strands of the plot were difficult to follow and the acting was flat. I am not sure that a PG-13 was appropriate for this film

This could have been a great film if Nolan had made one more pass at the editing and cut about 40 minutes. Also, this was such an interesting concept, why did he have to resort to the 'bad guys' and their guns. Couldn't he have invented something more interesting than the constant boring gun battles. The movie Aliens was over for me once they got out their guns and stated shooting. Guns were for Cowboys and Indian movies 80 years ago.

Nice premise, very much in line with some earlier Nolan stuff, but things go bad with a third act that is straight out of a CALL OF DUTY xbox level. Poorly shot, too, and would be hard to follow if it mattered. Ellen Page is flat as a board--what casting director put her at the front of the line. Hard to understand Ken Watanabe at times. But these are secondary concerns. The basic problem with the movie is that instead of ditching the CGI and focusing on making the film a truly mindbending experience, we get what turns out to be a rather standard action movie that hardly teases the mind.

Very few movies lately have had an "effect" on me where I'm thinking about them days later. Inception is one of those movies. Excellent casting, brilliant story, amazing visuals, and an epic soundtrack. I found myself uncontrollably smiling in certain scenes that (for lack of a better term) blew my mind; not just because of how impossible they seemed, but also because of how flawlessly they were created. Not since The Matrix have I seen a film so bold and so different from anything made before. Believe the hype, Inception is THAT good.

Storyline was far fetched and crazy, but I loved it. Good writing and direction and amazing special effects and sound.. Leonardo and supporting cast did a great job acting this out. My only disappointment was not seeing it at an IMAX theatre.

It was a great movie but the concept was pretty complex and a bit difficult to follow in the theater. The storyline moves fast so you have to really pay attention to keep up with it all. It would be a great movie to buy/rent on DVD.. that way you can pause/rewind when you get stumped or find yourself confused.

Great actors, cool special effects are just about a requirement to get people in the movies anymore, but the story is usually simple or a stupid political statement by the director and/or producers. Funny that Leonardo DiCaprio made these movies back to back. Both movies have a dream quality, and both have a love story gone wrong. But Inception is artfully executed where Shutter Island was just weird. I saw it in 2D, but can't wait to head to the IMAX to see it again!
