This is the greatest Animated movie of all time. The 3-D made the experience SO MUCH better. The Story was so much better than AVATARS but was it a better movie...? No. Nonetheless it is still a very good film. It is perfect for all age groups including myself and i am 20. I saw it with my father who is 54 and he even said it was a great movie. The price though to see an IMAX movie is alittle to pricy but it was worth it. 5 Stars for sure. Keep up with the IMAX movies in 3-D. And all the theatres need to do a better job of cleaning the glasses cause mine were alittle dirty from the start.

I saw this movie on Saturday 3/27 with my tween daughter. We both enjoyed it very much. The story was good, clean, family-friendly. No movie is worth seeing if it can't offer those things.
The IMAX experience was worth it. Usually, we see 3-D movies and are let down, and wish we'd just watched the 2-D version, but How to Train Your Dragon was a great 3-D experience.
I think it also offered some good moral lessons. It was worthwhile to see, and very entertaining. GO SEE IT!

I bought ticket to see this movie on Friday 3/26. I picked a listing that said IMAX, but when we got to the movie theater, they did not have an IMAX theater. The 3D was great, but I really wanted IMAX. At 14.00 a ticket I won't be going again.

This was one of the better animated movies I've seen. The visuals are breathtaking, 3D elements weren't overdone and added to the overall storytelling. The voice casting was spot on especially with Gerard Butler and Jay D.
Story dealt with accepting others' character flaws and readjusting expectations of self and others. I read that because this movie didn't beat the Monsters vs. Aliens opening box office figures, that'll it'll be more difficult for How To Train Your Dragon Part 2 to be made. I plan on seeing this movie again. Movie definitely earned its' Certified Fresh ratings.
Movie line that grabbed me: Astrid: "You better decide which side you're on, because we're going to inherit our parents' war!"

I coughed-up the price of seeing this film in IMAX 3D and ended up sleeping through most of the movie! I found "How to Train Your Dragon" extremely boring, and I found the IMAX 3D rather flat! I also seen Avatar in IMAX 3D and it was GREAT! I know I'm in the minority with my review, but I have to tell the truth. I think the studios are slapping 3D on everything and expecting it to be the next Avatar. Ticket prices are too expensive for this kind of garbage!

I have already recommended this movie to all of my friends and family. IMAX 3D maybe a little pricey but it is truly the only way to experience this wonderful movie. I took my 12 year old niece and my wife. My wife is not a cartoon movie fan, but she is now. We could not stop talking about the movie on the way home. The flight scenes in 3D make the whole movie. A great story with great characters. The voices and characteristics were dead on.

generally, i don't even really like/want to watch movies in the theater, and so i was especially disappointed when my boyfriend said he really wanted to see this. i'm soooo glad he chose it! i REALLY enjoyed this movie, and would buy it on DVD. better than both wall-e and kung fu panda.

I took my 11 year old daughter and my husband. We all loved this film. Lovely story, nice characters. The animation and 3D was spectacular. Some parts I thought might be a little scary for those under five but I tend to be pretty conservative. Worth the price of admission

I agree that the 3D action was not a match to Avatar, but I loved the film. Some scary parts at the very beginning, so you would have to know how your children handle loud noises and flashing lights- but how great to see a film with no graphic blood and guts, bad words, etc.. Also had some great teaching moments about adults needing to listen, violence not always being the answer, and that bullied kids CAN win in the end. I WANT A DRAGON FOR A PET!!!!!!!!

This is one of the better kids movies I've seen in a while. Good story line for both kids and adults. Great visuals with the 3D.
