IMAX 3D is amazing, but I'd see this movie again and again - 3D or not. A very entertaining and moving story with visually stunning flight scenes and cinematic imagery. Our theater erupted in applause twice. That doesn't happen often. At the end, your heart will be FULL and you'll leave the theater satisfied, with a big smile on your face.

I saw this movie with my teenage daughter. We both loved the movie. You get completely wrapped up in the scenes. I held my breath during the fight scenes and shared the exhilaration of flying through the air with hiccup. Although it is a good family movie, I would discourage the very young since some scenes might be too scary.

Be Prepared to be amazed. We were all adults in my family that attended this movie and we were not disappointed. The fight scenes were great and the ending was an ahhh moment. I personally loved the scenes where Hiccup moves through the air with the dragon cuz it felt so real. The water rushing to shore was outstanding. My only draw back was the price, In todays economy it's too pricey for most families. Great Movie!

My 5 boys went to this movie in 3-D Imax and Loved it! The 7 year old kept trying to grap items out of the air. My 17 year old liked the ash falling from the sky. The story line was easy to follow and not filled with underlying adult meanings or jokes like some kids movies tend to do these days. Over all great kid movie!

I took my 5 year old son and was really afraid it was going to be too loud for him but it wasn't. We sat in the middle of the row and approx the middle of the theatre (much better picture further away from the screen).
He totally enjoyed it and so did I; I even cried at one really emotional part - I do also cry at some commercials, so don't let that deter you (LOL). Anyway, loved it!

I took my four year old son to this and he had a great time! Lots of action, humor and very well paced The only drawback was the sound - it was way too loud. FAfter a few minutes, he was in tears and we had to go to a "standard" 3D theater to finish the film, which was disappointing (for me.) The picture quality was amazing and the glasses worked flawlessly and if the sound hadn't been deafening, it would have been a really perfect movie experience.

I've always been a die hard Pixar fan, but when it comes to this movie, I may have to rearrange some favorites. I wont deny, Dreamworks has always had excellent animation, but their stories are always lacking, aside from the old 2D they did eons ago. More to this movie, the visual effects were captivating, frightening, and heartwarming as well as the story, I really felt connected to the protagonist and the dragon at the same time instead of siding with "who was cuter". Every cliche I could forsee was bypassed for original content, which I loved. Overall, I recommend this to any and everyone!

Great movie for kids who enjoyed it very much. I myself did not suffer which is a big plus in my book. The only weird thing was that the Vikings were speaking in a Keltic accent :-)

Great movie for entire family! I experienced it for the first time with my 5 year old son at an IMAX in 3D which was amazing! I would strongly recommend this movie to all of my friends and family. I believe it would be just great without seeing it in 3D.

This movie was awesome, some of the most beautiful animation I have ever seen. I am not talking Avatar stuff. I am saying the best cartoon animation. These people looked like real cartoons. The story was awesome and in a way A lot of the scenes looked and felt like Avatar. It was great in 3D, They didn't over do the 3D effects at all. Great movie. Go see it. But don't pay 6 dollars extra to see it in 3D at AMC or Lowes. Go to Kerasotes theaters where they don't charge extra for 3D!!!!!!!
