I took my 5 year old son and was really afraid it was going to be too loud for him but it wasn't. We sat in the middle of the row and approx the middle of the theatre (much better picture further away from the screen).
He totally enjoyed it and so did I; I even cried at one really emotional part - I do also cry at some commercials, so don't let that deter you (LOL). Anyway, loved it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
