Movie was lots of fun. My 9 and 6 yr old girls loved it. Lots of good "hidden" adult jokes too. Only gave 4 stars because Vikings are Norse and don't have Scottish accents. What's up with that? I guess anything spoken in Scottish is funnier than Scandinavian??? Seems like they changed the entire village because Gerard Butler just can speak any other way.

Well, the 3D tech was under-utilized in this one. I think the 3-d previews did a better job with the technology. I saw this on an IMAX screen, but that did not help. A predictable story line, but of course, its a cartoon.

This film was very entertaining for kids, and easy to sit through for adults. I would not recommend children under 8 or so though, because the battle scenes can be kind of loud and violent (and everything is heightened in an IMAX/3D setting). I loved the animation and the voice acting was great. The plot was pretty predictable, but enjoyable.

A good but not great film. The use of 3D, however, was excellent. It accentuated the plot naturally rather than simply providing an excuse for gratuitous thrown objects and the like. The set up was a bit long, even tedious at times, but the build to the climax was very entertaining. Especially enjoyable was the development of the main character's relationship with and training of "his" dragon. It was certainly good for kids but offered much for adults too.

I wanted to see H** T** Time Machine, girlfriend wanted to see this. So I watched the kiddie dragon movie. It was great.
There were kids in the audience, but they were totally quiet and captivated the whole time. Adults were, too. Lots of great visuals, nice story, fantastic setting, nicely acted characters, really seamless 3D and animation. Go see it.
As I total package, I'd say I liked it better than Avat**.

I went to see this with my 30-something friends and we all enjoyed it immensely. The characters were engaging, the animation was beautifully-rendered, the story was enjoyable and the fight scenes were incredible!

This movie was just what the doctor ordered. Children and adults both enjoyed this wonderful tale. In IMAX it was just spectacular and you felt like you were right there with the characters. Good dialog with plenty of little inserts which adults will pickup on while all the children in the audience seemed to follow along just fine without asking parents to explain. Bring the kids and the old folks too. It's in the Disney tradition and Walt would be pleased.

I had bought tickets to see this movie on saturday the 27th, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it so I went ahead and bought another pair of tickets for sunday hoping that the movie was well worth my money. I can honestly say I loved the movie and it's not just a kid's film, I think anyone would enjoy it. The relationship between Hiccups, the main character, and toothless, the dragon, is really touching. The movie is a must see in Imax 3d.

Took my 8 yr old son and we had a blast. He actually yelled out a few times because of stuff coming at him in 3D. We had a lot of fun!

My wife and I went to see this.Great film, beautiful visuals and a sweet story. No out of place jokes or pandering here. Just aa great tale that transports you to another place and time. See it in Imax 3D, the visuals are breathtaking, as good as Avatar.
