Good for kids - ok if you know the first

In twenty years the best they could do was to repeat the entire first movie?? It's just a remake with little creativity. Kids loved it - but they never saw the first. Didn't find the 3D very impressive.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This was a cute and funny movie - my 9 and 7 yr old loved it but... if you've seen all the trailers and commercials you've seen half the movie already. I hated knowing/seeing all the bits of the first 15 minutes in the movie. Completely lost it's magic. Title made no sense either. Next time don't use the whole movies as the advertising.

Movie was lots of fun. My 9 and 6 yr old girls loved it. Lots of good "hidden" adult jokes too. Only gave 4 stars because Vikings are Norse and don't have Scottish accents. What's up with that? I guess anything spoken in Scottish is funnier than Scandinavian??? Seems like they changed the entire village because Gerard Butler just can speak any other way.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
