This movie is the equivalent of what Star Wars was to me as a child. It is simply amazing especially in the IMAX version. There are not too many superlative adjectives that can be used to describe it. Excellent in every way.

Words cannot explain how awesome this movie is. My husband and I have seen a lot of movies but visually nothing we have seen compares to this movie. From the beginning we were engulfed by the scenery and by the time we arrived to the Na'Vi we were fully emersed in their world. We felt compassion for them and wanted to be a part of their world. Bottom line: this movie is a must see. Please get the full experience and view the movie in IMAX 3D.

The most amazing virtual visual and movie going experience of ALL TIME.
I say that not lightly. I am 60 and have seen my share of visually stunning and this is the top, no, over the top by leaps and bounds. Storey line is OK, character development is sufficient but the engrossing, pull you into the world, realism is not comparable to anything I have wseen. Must see in IMAX 3D. This is ther one thing you cannot get at home and you have to see it to believe it!!!

This movie is really a new "Avatar" in the movie industry. The CG effects are really unbelievable and the 3D experience was truly enlightining. One has to watch this movie atleast once in 3D to fully feel the "Pandora" !!!

A masterpiece! Great story with state-of-the-art animation, action, and pulls at the heart. I'd watch it again.
Unfortunately, Hooksett needs to learn how to run the cinema, like the one in Natick... People waited in line for 45 minutes, and the show started late. Then a herd crowded ahead. Luckily, no one was hurt. Then folks looked for their seats in the dark.

Avatar was amazing! The story was inspiring and the visuals were jaw dropping. I strongly recommend seeing this in IMAX 3D.. The Na'Vi were great You'd think that a blue race of 12 foot tall aliens really exist. This is a five Star Movie.

Seeing this movie in IMAX 3D is something that I will remember forever. It was an unsurpassed visual experience which I highly recommend that everyone see. The story line and the science were both pretty solid. The portrayal of the alien culture was very believable and captivating. This is a great movie!

I thought the movie was awesome. I was completely taken in and immersed in the movie. It was the best film I have seen in quite awhile. I highly recommend it and I will probably see it again within a few weeks.

James Cameron is wonderful at creating the worlds within which to escape, and his latest creation "AVATAR" is no different. The visual effects are rich in color, detail, presence and imagination. The imaginary world of Pandora is breathtaking! Overall the movie was good for an escape, but it didn't not hit the bullseye with this moviegoer. The story line was simple and easily predictable, and the storyline behind the central charatcers at times detracted from the overall plot of the movie. It is for this reason AVATAR did not attain the top rating of five stars. Other than this, grab your popcorn, drinks and confectionary treats, sitback, relax and enjoy the show!

Incredible effects, and amazing fantasy animals & scenery; my 10 yr old son loved it! Get there early for good seating, there was a lot of pushing and shoving even though I had bought my tickets on-line.

I had my reservations before I watched the movie because I thought this would be another epic adventure love story, with a social agenda twist. However, I am a big sci-fi fan and feel compelled to see the lastest movie technology whenever something new is released. James Cameron did a GREAT job getting his message across without being preachy and told a love story without it becoming sappy. The love story did not interfere with the action and adventure. Thestory was fast moving and length of the movie was appropriate without feeling tired when the movie was over

Avatar was amazing! Don't let a familiar plot deter you from experiencing this epic film. The story was inspiring and the visuals were jaw dropping. I strongly recommend seeing this in IMAX 3D. As far as CGI goes, James Cameron has changed the game. The Na'Vi were the most lifelike computer generated characters I've ever seen, and their interaction with the human characters was seamless. You'd think that a race of blue, 12 foot tall aliens really exist. You owe it to yourself to experience this film.

For my family and me, it was entirely a new level of immersion that we've never experienced before. Both my wife and I found ourselves swatting at the air for insects or tree branches blocking our view momentarily that obviously weren't in the theater but were in the film. To give the audience such an experience is immersion at its finest! The CGI is a technological advancement that speaks volumes for its self. James Cameron has brought his Na'vi to life in an entirely believable fashion which melds seamlessly with reality. My family and I left the film wishing we too could be counted amongst Na'vi, a thing I haven't felt in any movie since I was a child. Thank you Mr. Cameron and Bravo!

Full action, with seemless integration of CG and live action for a wonderful experience. The story would be great (and I would have given 5 stars), had there been more fleshing out of the marines and the corporaton. But, all in all, a great movie to watch.

I surprised my husband yesterday and drove almost 2 hrs to JAX, FL so we could see Avatar in IMAX 3-D. I have always been a fan of IMAX, and I was duly impressed by the 3-D portion of the latest Harry Potter film, but it left me wishing that the entire film was shown in 3-D. James Cameron has gone far beyond anything I could ever have imagined in combining IMAX, 3-D, and live motion capture computer generation. This film completely blew us away! If at all possible, see this movie in its full glory. It was definitely worth the drive for us, and as much as I love roller coasters, this was an even better ride!!

Visually stuning movie experience. James Cameron's vision and direction captures your imagination first thing and keeps your interest throughout. In reflection, a little sad to think that if our species ever evolves enough to travel to other worlds that we would not have overcome our pensity for greed and destruction. A classic story of alien good over humanity's evil.

It's definitely been hyped, and I'm glad I went to see it in IMAX 3D. The scenery is beautiful and the alien world is creatively constructed. It's obvious that Cameron left room for the characters and story to be further fleshed out in sequels. The plot and social messages are predictable. But, the visuals and sound effects are good.

Just finished watching AVATAR 3D at IMAX with true IMAX 6-story screen. Just like being "in" the movie. The most incredible movie ever -- by far!!!! James Cameron does it again... he is "king of the world"... movie-making world anyways... Go see it now!! You have to watch it at the real IMAX with the 6-story screen (most IMAX's are just IMAX projectors in a regular movie theater, not the same thing). Best seats for 3D are 2nd-3rd row, dead center so you don't have much in your peripheral vision. I will see it at the IMAX at least 5 more times!!

The more I ponder this film, the more I love it. At 40 something, I finally saw a 3D IMAX event. Story was pretty good, but the cinema experience left me in awe. Wow!

The story is not mind-boggling, but the visual effects are AWESOME....Cameron really makes you feel like moving to Pandora, instead of staying on Earth....I particularly liked the idea of the whole system on Pandora being connected as if in a neural network....great watch through and through!

I saw this in IMAX 3D, and it was amazing. The movie was good, but I can't help but wonder "if I saw it on a normal screen would I have liked it?" The story was good, nerdy, corny, but still good. What really stood out to me though was how great the 3D made the movie. I was expecting a really cheesy pop stuff out at you ever 5 seconds, but was rather pleased with the beauty that it added to the movie. The most amazing thing to me was how the war scenes played out, the movie went from Good to Great and I think thats due more to the IMA than anything else. It is well worth watching, go see it! Watch it in 3D! and if possible watch it in IMAX!
