Bib Momma, Like Father Like Son, is a funny escape from everyday life for just about the whole family. Make sure the kids are 10 and up, and enjoy the show.

FUNNY LIGHTHEARTED COMEDY

Gnomeo and Juliet entertained the whole family and had plenty of laughs for kids as well as adults. Acknowledging the Shakespearian roots provided a bit of history for the kids, and validated the fact adults have seen this tragedy in many different forms. Take the kids, sit back, relax and enjoy this well acted animated comedy/tragedy.

NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT

We went again to see another animated feature film having had success with several previous titles. Unfortunately, Yogi Bear didn't live up to the expectations of a big budget film based on a television show. The premise, the destruction of Jellystone, was a good idea however the villianous mayor and his sidekick fell short, as did Ranger Smith and his love interest. The boys had fun laughing at the obvious slapstick comedy scenes, but overall they laughed less than they did with previous movies. Save your money and wait for rental or VOD.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

EXCELLENT REMAKE OF RAPUNZEL

I recently took my young son to see this movie. Contrary to popular belief, he, and I, loved this movie. His laughter, and the laughter of several other boys, filled the theatre throughout the show. Disney did a great job re-tooling this old Grimm's fairy tale into a new adventure worthy of boys and girls. This movie will satisfy even the hardened movie critic with its humor, fast pace and traditional Disney "Happy Ever After" ending. Tangled doesn't get tangled up in itself and flows effortlessly throughout. Enjoy!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

GOOD CONCEPT SLOW TO CONCLUDE

Reading up on, and following all of the hype surrounding thiis movie, I took the plunge yesterday and endured through 2+ hours of Inception. Dream sequences where real time is distorted has been a movie concept since, oh before I was born. This movie attemtped to update the essence of these movies, but dragged at times explaining the central character's moral delima.
It could have moved faster, and could have included a better development of the dream sequences which would have enhanced the overall movie experience. Overall, it was okay, not as great as others have reviewed. Wait for DVD or On Demand.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

WORTH THE EXPERIENCE

Iron Man 2, is a good follow-up to the original Iron Man and will keep you entertained. However, it does not live up to the original as so many sequels fail to do. This movie has plenty of action mixed in with melodrama to tell the story of Tony Stark after finding out how to power the Iron Man suit and keep himself alive. Gwenyth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke and Samuel L. Jackson lend to keeping the franchise going. Cheadle follows through on Terence Howard's original performance and provides a great sidekick character to Downey Jr.'s lead, Rourke is terrific as the new villian, Gwenyth Paltrow delivers a solid performance, Downey Jr., is once again his eccentric self (and terrific at it as well) and Johansson, what more can be said than watch for the frequent costume changes and her sizzling performance while kicking butt towards the end of the film. Iron Man 2 does deliver, and all in all you will enjoy the movie on whatever day of the week you decide to go!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

STRUGGLE TO STAY INTERESTED

Well, what more can be said than what is contained in the Review Title. Unfortunately, this movie remake didn't live up to its pre-release hype. The plot was weak (an enormous feat for the writers considering this is a previously told classic Greek mythological story) and failed to hold my interest. The acting was mediocre outside of the action sequences. One glaring and visually distracting part of the movie, the hero Perseus (Sam Worthington) is sporting a buzz cut hairdoo! What's up with that? This is Greek mythology and everyone else (the gods included) have long hair styles, except the hero. Even in the story of Samson and Delilah, Samson's hair didn't get cut until the very end! I'm sure we could have identified Perseus without the buzz cut. Only the Special Effects kept me interested. These included the Scorpions, Medusa, and of course the Cracken. Also included are the sets where Perseus fought with these creatures. Overall, however, the movie just wasn't a good retelling of a classic story. The director could have done so much more! Wait for the DVD version and watch it at home when there's nothing else to do.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

AVATAR

James Cameron is wonderful at creating the worlds within which to escape, and his latest creation "AVATAR" is no different. The visual effects are rich in color, detail, presence and imagination. The imaginary world of Pandora is breathtaking! Overall the movie was good for an escape, but it didn't not hit the bullseye with this moviegoer. The story line was simple and easily predictable, and the storyline behind the central charatcers at times detracted from the overall plot of the movie. It is for this reason AVATAR did not attain the top rating of five stars. Other than this, grab your popcorn, drinks and confectionary treats, sitback, relax and enjoy the show!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Nice weekend escape. It was obvious Tom Hank's character was going to save the day, again. The movie moved along fast enough, perhaps too fast to fully establish all of the characters and to fully explore the central theme of the novel. Overall however, it was nice to sit back and watch one of our greatest actors of our time being directed by one of the greatest directors of our time. More could have been done, but I like it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

STAR TREK

A spectacular start to the summer movie scene. J.J. Abrams has successfully combined the old with the new, while creating an opportunity for a new franchise. Did you think the franchise had explored every nook and cranny of space? Well think again. The plausible plot makes it possible for this new crew to: "Continue to seekout new lifeforms and new civilizations." Grab some popcorn, arm your photon torpedoes, take your Captain's seat and - "Engage!"
Yes, I recommend this movie.
