James Cameron has succeeded in making a completely foreign and imagined world believable from start to finish. With the addition of near flawless 3D this was more of an experience than just a mere movie. The cast was amazing, and where many others fail to capture subtle emotions and facial cues the computer generated creations in this movie felt real. I would highly recommend this beautiful display of what modern film making will now be trying to imitate and recreate for years to come. Simply amazing.

The 3D and IMAX effects of this movie was truly a powerful experience. I got butterflies in my stomach in some of the extreme height scenes and was tempted to try to swat some of the bugs that magically appeared in front of my face. Even if SciFi isn't your cup of tea you really should experience this movie which will no doubt define special effects for years to come.
For me the only thing that took away from the overall experience was the old storyline where we are the bad guy. Corporate and military might putting profits in front of the needs of an indiginous population. Very negative bias against human kind.

Imagine "Dances With Wolves" meets "Aliens" in spectacular IMAX 3D Animation. This will be one of those movies that you will want to see more than once just to be able to enjoy the richness of the animation details. The extra cost of IMAX 3D is well worth it.

I said to my Son after the movie "I can't believe that just happened' he said "I know". We were speechless. Shortly afterward we commented that the 'real' world's 3D is bland... be careful this movie will change your perception of the world :) Simply a must see ... sit on the 5th row back.

3-D IMAX was superb way beyond my expectations; movie itself was very good,but would have left me more impressed if movie was shortened. Lets say maybe the intense battle scene cut by 30 minutes.

This movie is great! It brings you up and down with emotion. The visuals are amazing however the 3D stuff is not overdone which is great. There story brings you deep into the plot and sets you up to witness and epic outcome.

Great story almost real as if we have done that
already beautiful scenery and an indication as to what to do in the event of contact with other alien races.
James Cameron did a great job on this movie as always does on his productions, I went to see it with my kids they loved it and we are looking forward to see it again in 3D.

Watching the movie at an IMAX theater was great, but the movie made the experience fantastic! The movie was long but we were bummed that it ended! We wanted more! We believe that this movie moves the bar for movie entertainment to new heights! Great story, great character development and amasing use of animation! We can honestly say that this is, by far, the best movie we've ever seen! We will see it again at the theater.

James Cameron's latest film is also his greatest film, and this is coming from a major fan of his movies. In AVATAR the visuals are so dazzling that your eyes will not even believe what they are seeing. The 3-D is a wonderful enhancement, not a coming at you gimmick. It is essential to see it in 3-D, and IMAX if at all possible. The entire film is like a fabulous thrill ride, and at nearly three hours, it is quite exhausting, and I mean that in a good way. I can see lots of Oscars in its future.

Avatar isn't just a movie, it's a virtual experience. The new real 3D doesn't throw object at you and make you try to catch little birds, instead it incorporates you into the scene. You aren't watching the Na'vi, you are there with them. I also recommend the IMAX 3D experience, the better sound quality and larger image really compliment the film. Arrive early for prime seating, and get ready for a whole new level of film technology.

Saw it in Imax 3D. What fun! Fabulous visuals, good, if simple story. I cathected to the main characters and loved the ending. Good love story, great action film. The message is a little heavy handed but powerfully delivered .

I can't remember the last time a movie was so intensely powerful that I felt every human emotion there is. James Cameron brought me to a world that did not exist until he created it, and brought it to life, and I didn't want to leave. I was mesmorized by the beauty of it all, the vivid colors, the language, all so magical. It was a privilege to see this masterpiece!

I'm not too much for Sci-Fi, and I paid $30 for both me and my husband to see it at I-Max.
It was awesome! It held my attention the entire movie-2 hours and 40 minutes!! It also had me on the edge of my seat for most of the movie! I would highly recommend this for any and all!!
Additionally I really liked the ending! I was worried he would not live and was very happy when he did!
This movie was FANTASTIC! I will pay $30 and see it again AND maybe AGAIN!!

James Cameron's vision of Pandora is absolutely breathtaking. The colors are vivid and the creatures that inhabit the planet such as the Banshee and Thanator, not to mention the Na'vi people themselves are amazing to watch. The addition of 3D into this movie really helped add to the aura of realism as I sat in the theater. It not only felt like I was transported into another world, I didn't want to leave!
Avatar has taken movie-making to an all new level. The bar has been forever raised.

Every aspect of the movie is brilliantly realized. You can easily tell that there's so much more to this world than we just saw in this movie.
The CGI was so amazing that at any point I didn't go, well that's fake. The way the Na'vi are animated is completely amazing. Watch the eyes of the characters. The 3D makes this a very immersive movie and at no point it's gimmicky.
The emotional arc of this movie is one it's strongest points. We go from rooting for humans to rooting for the Na'vi without even realizing it. Very well acted, I hope that Zoe Saldana will be nominated for a supporting Oscar.
Definitely go see this movie!!!

This has been the best movie I have ever seen yet! I loved everything about it from the action to the romance it was an amazing film.
