Coming out of this movie, one has to wonder if they ever felt they were at the movies, or if they were on Pandora with the story. The story in this movie was to some the same old thing but this story had a different impact as a result of excellent actors and unheard of special effects. The technology created by Cameron for this movie will change the way we watch movies for decades to come. Watching this in 3D is a must and made you feel like you were in the story. The characters were so realistic and the movements and mannerisms so authentic, you escaped into their world without a second thought in your mind that they were real. This is a must see for everyone, great story, great direction and excellent immersion into another world.

Great movie. You forget about the 3D after a while. My only complaint is that if you tilt your head to the left or right, the picture becomes distorted. You have to be to straight. Other than that it was an amazing movie experience.

Saw it in 3D IMAX. Spectacular cinematic experience unlike anything I have seen to date. Good enough for the audience to erupt into applause at the end. There were visuals in this movie that were simply unmatched by any previous sci-fi. The story line was entertaining enough to rank up there with the first Star Wars experience. Highly recommended and I plan to see it without the 3D to see how much the 3D experience adds to the film.

If you see any movie in IMAX 3D (or any 3D actually) more than once, this is the movie you should do it with. With special effects unrivaled, sheer scope unmatched, and beauty unsurpassed this movie will simply take you to a place you can only imagine, and engulf your senses in a world full of intrigue, adventure and wonder. Who cares if the plot isn't the most unique one ever, the way it was brought forth makes it one of the best theater experiences you will ever have. You can certainly see that James Cameron watches movies. I noticed a bit of Star Wars, Ferngully, Last of the Mohicans, Terminator Salvation and probably many more. The good part is that he put them all together to make an enjoyable and visually stimulating movie that makes you want to see the next installment.

Cameron has completely outdone himself, and any other Director, Producer, or Writer of this generation.
Avatar is one of the most beautifully executed stories I've seen in a very long time. The visual effects, the music score, and the characters all worked together to create a totally immersive experience. I was literally transformed into this world Cameron created, and found it tough to return to "the real world" afterwards.
I was touched by every emotion from laughter to tears, anger to joy, disbelief to total spiritual awakening.
This movie is an award winner, but I don't think there is any award that is given that would give it the accolades it deserves.

We went to see this Sunday in IMAX 3D and it was well worth the dragging on Monday morning! The 3D effects were so cool!! I actually found myself pushing fronds out of my way and brushing away little floating things. I would recommend the entire family see this movie. The lesson it teaches is well worth learning also. You can't just show up on somebody's doorstep (planet in this case) and just take over, the landlord gets a might upset and may kick your butt!!!

One of the best movies I've ever seen. Great story, great special effects, and by the time it's over you want to move to Pandora. It was well worth the few extra dollars to see it in IMAX-3D. Excellent experience and I would like to see it again!

This movie was just that...incredible! The special effects made it a visually stunning movie. Although the story line is as old as time (barbarians trying to oust the native population for its resources), it's futuristic timing gives it a new twist. The acting is wonderful and sincere. You have to see it in the 3D IMAX. I put the glasses on and didn't move for the whole movie. I was completely entranced. A definite must-see!

This movie can be seen by all ages and enjoyed on so many levels. The innovation it took to make it are far superior to anything else that has been made. It is the "Star Wars" of our decade.
Even though it lasts 2 hrs 40 min this movie is constantly moving along with terrific acting, incredible graphics and a terrific plot.
Seeing all this new technology in IMAX 3D was awesome!!
I would see it again and again and I am sure would see many things that I didn't see the first time.
I highly recommend this movie to everyone and to all families who watch movies together.
Our entire audience was elated and overwhelmed with so many things...there are far too many to even begin to describe them.

Great special effects. Acting was very good. Dialog was about average. The actors pulled it off very well. Overall I give it a 90 / 100. My biggest disappointment was it was so predictable. But character development was excellent and I really got into the action. It was very believable.

If you want to see this movie, you MUST see it in MAX-3D.
It is the most amazing movie I have seen. The plot is good, but the visuals keep you connected for the entire movie. It got a little slow after 1 1/2 hours but then it picks up again and finishes really high. Don't miss this movie before it stops being shown in IMAX-3D.

Wow --- I got to experience Avatar in IMAX 3D and am still blown away by the experience.
The plot was old hat, but the movie was so well-made that I was able to completely forget (until well afterwards) that I've read and seen several versions of the story before.
The planet "Pandora" was amazingly realistic and beautiful and all of the CGI effects were absolutely top-notch. Can't wait to see it again!

This movie was all that it was hyped to be. The visuals are absolutely amazing. I can guarantee you have never seen anything like the perfection of animation that is in Avatar. The story is touching and really immerses the viewer into the universe. Oh, and with the addition of 3D, you really feel as if you are walking beside the characters as they move around the world. Truly an outstanding movie experience.

This was the first full length 3-D movie I ever saw and it was wonderful; makes me want to see more movies again. Didn't understand why people brought small children (under 3 yrs old) to this movie, though. It was really long for a small kid, the story line was complex and the creatures were not "kid-friendly". At least they didn't scream the entire time!!! See this movie in 3-D -- it's worth the extra money!

The only way to see Avatar is in IMAX 3D.
I didn't think the 3D experience could be so good. Probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. Would probably see it again, soon.
The special effects were outstanding. At first I had my doubt's, thought it was going to be cartoonish, like Star Wars. But it wasn't. I found the Avatar characters to be realistic. Two thums up!

Seeing Avatar in IMAX 3D is the way to go. If not IMAX, at LEAST 3D because the point of seeing this film is immersion; & James Cameron has done his part. You have to do yours by seeing it as he intended you to.
But not only can you be sure that you will be brought into a world of jaw-dropping beauty but the film is very effective on an emotional level.
Yes, some of the dialogue is recycled & the film's story line is not super original either but the main import of the narrative is the wonderful love story. With all the visual stimulation going on I almost desire a more simplistic narrative. You know it’s good when you're rooting for the hero, you hate the villain & you fall in love w/ the girl.

Avatar IMAX 3-D was amazing... The Cinematography was breathtakingly beautiful, and the locations were wonderful. The Plot was somewhat predictable, but made up for by the well written script and great acting. The real star of the show were the amazing graphics. The colors and design of the people, scenery and animals were the best I've ever seen. This movie is one of the best action Epics ever.
