Disappointing adaptation of such a great story:

I found this movie to be really disappointing. The character development is horrible. So many characters pop in and out of the story so often and so arbitrarily that they and their actions cease to have any meaning. None of the real motives are ever really depicted, and even Alice's character is thoroughly underdeveloped. Alice's character is simply a whimsical girl who falls down a hole and is aided by a vast array of strangers for little or no reason to overthrow a queen with a big head with, again, little or no cause.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie was all that it was hyped to be. The visuals are absolutely amazing. I can guarantee you have never seen anything like the perfection of animation that is in Avatar. The story is touching and really immerses the viewer into the universe. Oh, and with the addition of 3D, you really feel as if you are walking beside the characters as they move around the world. Truly an outstanding movie experience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
