This is a beautiful movie in Imax 3D. HOWEVER, if you want more out of a movie than that, skip it. The story is OLD. The Spanish did it to the Aztecs, the Europeans did it to the American Indians, The Romans did it to everybody...
Get the idea?
But it's GORGEOUS!!!!

I have told everyone who asks this is the movie to see. It was the best movie I have seen in a long long time. Even my husband said he would like to see it twice a year in 3D IMAX. It was that good!

This movie was AMAZING! There are no other words to describe it! If you are going to see it, you must see it in 3D. And if you can, see it in IMAX 3D. The animation is unbelivable (actually it is very believable! ) The characters look so extremely real (especially their facial expressions) that it gets to a point where you aren't sure what is real and what is animated! When it comes to animation, this changes everything!

I'm not one for these types of movies, but I loved it. I went to the 10:15PM showtime which lets out at 1:00AM and the time flew by. It was definitely worth it :)

This is definitely a movie you have to see in the theater and in 3D IMAX. I have seen this movie in regular 3D, just as a regular movie without 3D and in 3D IMAX and let me tell you, IMAX 3D makes a huge difference. You feel like you are right in the movie. Go see it. You won't be sorry!

Unbelievably awesome movie! I loved the 3-D effects and the beauty of the scenes. Amazing and dramatic with an excellent theme. You have to see this movie in a theater! Don't wait to see it in your home - this is one that MUST be seen in a theater and definitely 3-D!

This movie lives up to all the buzz! Although the plot is predictable, the story line is unique and well thought out. The special effects are mind blowing in IMAX 3D. The acting is very believable and the perceived run time is much shorter than the listed time.

Don't miss out on seeing this movie in all its splendor in IMAX 3D. It was nice to get lost in Avatar's story, effects, worlds, characters, creatures and sound. Combining IMAX 3D and possibly the most fantastic cinema master piece to date, made this absolutely the best movie going experience I have ever had. I wish I had more rich communication skills to convey how much this movie was enjoyed by EVERYONE in the theater.

I was sceptical about this movie mixing humans with animation at first. While watching I was absorbed into this movie and it was so fantastic. I actually felt I was a part of this movie. I will see it again and recommend it to be seen by all. This movie was so awesome.

I really loved this movie--was blown away by the spectacular imagery and amazing creativity throughout the movie. The ONLY way to see this is IMAX 3D! An interesting story line....I could have done without the cliched and overdone bangup ending, but I guess all that war and explosions stuff sells tickets.

We rarely go to the movies, but we had to make it out for this. It was INCREDIBLE! One of the best 2.5 hrs I have spent! It is just amazing. The colors, the story, the acting. It is hard to find a good movie anymore, but this, James Cameron has outdone himself.

This is a must-see movie, very exciting, fast action, cliff-hanger suspense, and amazing photography. The artistry of the production was unsurpassed. I often look at my watch during movies, especially when they have slow parts, just to see how much longer I have to sit there. Not so with this one -- time flew. The overall plot is not original, the acting is not special, and I don't enjoy seeing marine-types portrayed as the bad guys. Yet despite these issues, I strongly recommend Avatar to anyone seeing prime adventure and entertainment. You won't be disappointed if you see this movie.
