I really loved this movie--was blown away by the spectacular imagery and amazing creativity throughout the movie. The ONLY way to see this is IMAX 3D! An interesting story line....I could have done without the cliched and overdone bangup ending, but I guess all that war and explosions stuff sells tickets.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Triumphant Acting AND Singing!

What a glorious rendition of the score, and the story. Soaring singing of some of Puccini's best, and a very realistic portrayal of the time and place. Here's hoping Rolando Villazon's throat troubles are resolved soon--his tenor voice was magnificent in this production.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
