Absolutely one of the most creative, inspired, adventurous, and beautiful films I have ever seen. Cameron knocked it outside the city that the park is in. I will be seeing this film again, in IMAX 3-D, at least 2-3 more times.

In one word, ASOME !! This was a great movie ! I was affraid that the over hype, like many other over hyped movies, was going to be a dissapointment, but was relieved. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! A MUST IN IMAX !

I viewed Avatar in 3D IMAX and it was one of the most entertaining movies I have seen in a long time. The story parallels some of the sad and regretful actions of greedy, usually white men, against the natives. The characters are thin, agile blue natives. They are connected to their environment with a oneness of interdependence and responsibility. My strong recommendation is go 30 minutes early not just for the seating but to insure you get your 3D glasses. Only two of the 5 in our party actually had glasses. I was resourceful and found two pair, one in a plant and one on top of a trash can.

James Cameron's Avatar is one of the best films of the year. The story reminds me of Mel Gibson's Apacalypto in the sense of foreigners coming to take over a land and the black sheep rising to the top. There did not seem to be any weaknesses in the story line. The dual perspectives made the film much more interesting. The colors in the scenery were pure eye candy. The graphics were stunning and of course the whole IMAX 3-D made the experience and overall A+. I'd definitely see it again and again.

5 muture adults and we all loved it. Cameron did it again! Gorgeous scenery and colors. Great story - good vs arrogant evil + a love story (not just male/female but a people and their environment). Wasn't sure about IMAX 3D but it only enhanced the experience. Was absolutely wonderful!!!

The story was great. Acting was good. The technology is amazing. I was reaching for things in front of me. The 3D was best I have seen. The animation was so good, it seemed real by the end of the movie. I wonder what technology will make this obsolete in 5 years. Amazing experience on a Christmas day.

For me, not only were the special effects superb and the story line wonderful, but the political undertones were well thought out and as far as the spiritual aspects of the movie, well I think all I can say is that Mr. Cameron gets it, I mean truly gets it! I hope that when people see this movie that either consciously or on some base level something inside of them is awakened to the realities that were so beautifully communicated through the indigenous peoples of the (fictitious?) moon Pandora.
The message here is clear to me at least, all things are connected and we must stop our "insane" ways of thinking and acting.

Took my 12 & 14 year old daughter's on xmas. this is this generation's star wars. Cameron did things on the screen that were AMAZING!!! Also, a very nice story. This is an ABSOLUTE must see, take the kids early to get a good seat, too close to the front will take a little away. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Some friends wanted to see this movie, but I wasnt sure about it, especially in 3-D. My past experiences in 3-D were goofy cardboard glasses, and a storyline that was more about items coming off the screen then about a real story. Avatar is completely different. There is a great story, and the spcial effects were more a part of the story, then the story itself. I would highly recommend this movie to all ages over 13.

The time will come, perhaps soon, when the term '3D movie' will be redundant, and the young generation will have known nothing else. AVATAR 3D IMAX - a must!
Despite Cameron's unfortunate and ignorant depiction of the mining industry as the antagonist (without the products of which he would have been unable to make his film and his profit), I give this film my wholehearted endorsement.
It was worth each of the 1,350 pennies and 160 minutes I traded for the experience, and I'd gladly do it again. In fact, I think I will. Enjoy!

State of the Art 3-D system w/ terrific sound system...Movie itself was fairly overblown, overlong, but impressively creative. My hubby says this new media makes Star Wars technology look trivial. The theater itself needs more comfortable seating, but the crew keeps it amazingly clean for the amount of traffic it carries. If the film had been shorter, it would be a 5 star...but it's a sure "must see" anyway.

The visuals were stunning and the interface between live action and CGI was flawless. The story was simplistic with a mix of old plot ideas. Sort of a "Star Wars meets Dancing with Wolves" theme. However, the visuals overwhelmed any weakness in the plot. Would recommend the IMAX format as the best way to immerse yourself in the experience.

As others have said...the story line was predictable...but the graphics were excellent. Definitely seeing it in IMAX is the only way to go. The limited 3D was very good but I think they could have done much more with it. There are some intense scenes and it is much better than the previews made it look.

This movie will take you places across the universe and make you feel as if your actually participating in new discoveries along with the characters. This movie didn't need to be rushed or forced into a rigid complicated storyline, instead you get the chance to be amazed or thrilled by Pandora's natural surroundings without considering many consequences, or scenarios, the inevitable is always out there. The movies pace allows you to develop a care for Pandora and it's inhabitants, even the ones that would rather eat people. Stop debating and go see it in IMAX 3D, you'll be glad you did.
