I viewed Avatar in 3D IMAX and it was one of the most entertaining movies I have seen in a long time. The story parallels some of the sad and regretful actions of greedy, usually white men, against the natives. The characters are thin, agile blue natives. They are connected to their environment with a oneness of interdependence and responsibility. My strong recommendation is go 30 minutes early not just for the seating but to insure you get your 3D glasses. Only two of the 5 in our party actually had glasses. I was resourceful and found two pair, one in a plant and one on top of a trash can.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
