This movie was a great 3D IMAX experience! I would be cautious with little children, though. There are a few parts that may scare them. Otherwise the movie was great. Awesome animation and sound, 3D just topped it off! Go see it, you wont be disappointed!

Growing up in my home, we watched A Christmas Carol every year. I have seen many different variations in movie forms and theater plays. I would say this is by far, the best version. They were able to show how the story played out in a way that will give you chills of happiness and fright. I must say that a child around 8 to 10 years old that was sitting behind me was quite scared, so be weary of young children watching this. All and all, a great movie to watch in a time where values are overlooked. Prepare to leave the theater with a happy spirit :)

Saw this movie in 3D and in Imax 3D. Regular 3D was good but IMAX 3D was AWESOME! May frighten smaller children as movie jumps out at you and has some very spooky scenes. The characters are so real; was amazing! Left theatre feeling touched and thoroughly entertained.

The movie looked amazing, but did not have the humor you would expect from Jim Carrey. My family and I were all disappointed. Normally Jim Carrey would have made an excellent Scrooge if Disney would have let him do what he does best (like Ron Howard did with the Grinch-he just let Jim Carrey loose to play the role and improvise and it is one of the best Christmas movies ever).

Charles Dickens himself would have loved this movie. But I concur that it will scare kids...the death references are very scary...falling into a deep hole, etc. But the makers used every opportunity to make the story come to life. I highly recommend it. I saw the IMAX version but I'm sure regular 3D would be great too. I think 3D will be the salvation of the movie industry.

Great movie.... Effects and clarity were phenominal. Be careful if your child scares easily. Our 8 year old was terrified of the ghosts... and for god reason. After all, they are in 3D and IMAX jumping out at you!

This was my second 3-D movie and by far the best. If you want to get a since of flying, this will accomplish that for you. Jim Carey was amazing. He is quite talented and made the movie non-stop intertainment. My son, who is 5 was a little frightened and did not enjoy it as much. I feel it is more appropriate for older children, but also sends a great message at the perfect time of year. ENJOY!

This was my first 3D Imax movie venture. I'm very glad it was a story that brings back so many memories. This adaptation of A Christmas Carol was simply wonderful. To see this movie and feel like I was right there watching the events happen as though being one of the extras was excellent entertainment. My prize moment in the movie was when the horse turned its head. Just fantastic!! I couldn't help my self from saying, WHOA!!!

This is an enjoyable movie very nostalgic in my mind of the original and the book... I must say that the digital effects are definitely worth seeing especially in 3-D IMAX. I do also think there could've been more to the plot.

Love the movie!!! I am a big fan of Jim Carrey!! I could see Jim in the characters, he played!! First off, I seen it in Imax 3D. We sit to close to the front. So I couldn't see all the special effects. We also, took our granddaugher. Some of the parts did scare her, but I think the reason is we were to close to the front. Plus, my daughter had to take her to the restroom. So I decided, that we are going to see the movie again!!! This time without my granddaughter.. We are going to see it in Imax 3D!!! This time around, we are going to sit farther back, so we can see all the special effects we miss!!!

3-D has come a REALLY long way since I was young! Very cool! This movie was very good. The animation was very sharp and detailed. Jim Carey did a good job as Scrooge. Pretty good movie overall after seeing so many versions of it through the years. I wanted my wife to experience the IMAX and 3-D effects but she said it was a little much. The surround sound was terrific. I enjoyed it but would have preferred just the IMAX without 3-D or just the plain movie.

great graphics, love the 3D effect..but the ghost of Christmas future is like Darth Vader and that scary. Even Charles Dickens on his worst day couldn't have imaged that kind of interaction for poor Mr. Scrooge. I would see it again.

Jaw dropping grahics, but definitely not appropriate for little kids, it's scary most of the time; my 6 & 5 yr. old have seen other versions (like the mickey mouse version), but this was unexpectedly scary, even I jumped a few times. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the graphics, but it's way too intense for little ones; it was constant tension for me and my kids.

Loved it! We took a group of 8 young adults and we all loved it. its the traditional story with a little zip added. And the 3 D was not overdone...but really fun! There are a few scary parts maybe a little too scary for little kids...but great for kids who know the story.

I thought the movie had beautiful 3d effects. The movie was pretty boring though I wish I had wasted my $63.00 on something more interesting. I knew it was boring when my 6 year old took off her 3d glasses and started playing in the chair.

The I-Max experience is like being in Disney World and having the movie jump out at you. I am so happy to see that Disney did not change the original story to make a 3-D movie. I will definitely go and see this movie again!

The visuals are amazing, the 3-D immersing you in Victorian London at Christmas time, while the story and words remain very true to the book. A fantastic achievement and a delight for years to come.

I was very disappointed in the movie, A Christmas Carol" starring Jim Carrey. I felt the movie dragged and there was nothing that made the movie any different than you have seen a thousand times before. I thought there would be more animated gestures with the main character being Jim Carrey and that there may be some laughs. I sat stoned faced wondering if it was going to end. The 3D effects were marginal and showed up only during a couple of snow scenes. The IMAX basically means "louder". So my opinion is to wait for it to hit rental!
