How one can take a concept as potentially awesome as giant battling robots... with all the power of Steven Spielberg behind them... and create the fetid piece of waste that is Transformers 2, is a complete msytery. I knew I was in trouble when I heard an Autobat actually say... and this is a quote: "Punk-a** Deceptacons." If you are 13, and thinking "what's wrong with that?" then by all means, go see the movie. Wow!!! Non-stop from action to laughs to (naagah-ooo) Megen, to action, wow!! 2 1/2 hours of IMAX awesome, great filming and special effects, incredible CGI, wonderfully blended digital sound (nothing hurt, everything fit) - great movie!!! Hint: sit as far from the screen as you can!! So much detail and action across a huge screen, my neck got sore. Revenge of the Fallen had it all, incredible action sequences obviously, but so much humor throughout the flic. The story line wasn't a 10 but who cares! The 2.5 hours won't tax you too much.

Overall it had everything a guy wants to see, cars, robots, explosions, guns, lots of special effects. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because how am I supposed to believe that a bunch of little army people are supposed to be shooting their little guns at these things? Really? Whats the point of that? You know the bullets aren't going to do anything to it so why not just go for the rail gun every time? And you mean to tell me that they didn't even think of that until that guy told them? sheesh. Maybe I'm just getting too old but if they would have made the humans part a little more believable then I would have enjoyed it more.

Little exhausting, too much CGI, not much story... little robots are REALLY annoying, and their voices irritate me... you know the boy Sam, wasn't dead, you know Optimus Prime wasn't dead... left feeling... "eehhh?"
Didn't love or hate it, wouldn't see it again, or buy it... only interesting part was when the "old timer" was awoken and then you got some "STORY LINE"... maybe "3" will be better. Violence gets a little annoying, and tiring.
As for the IMAX experience... theater was TOO hot, but movie, sound and "big screen" experience are great! (15.00 is a little steep)

Definitely a movie that will make you forget all your troubles and worries behind for almost 3 hours!
Don't expected mind challenging scenes or new cinematic adventures. This is the movie of the childhood dreams every 30 something parent remembers, and can bring their older children to.
Granted there were a couple of scenes that were a little too much but within 30 seconds they are done and gone.
There is one thing I have to say that was pretty annoying about the plot. If the bad guys were so bad... then why did the scene only last a couple of seconds (you'll know when you see it)?!

the IMAX experience MADE this movie!
If I had gone to a regular theater, i would have rated it as three stars at best. as an avid fan of both the Transformers series and the movie when i was a child, i had some real complaints about the plot line this movie followed, especially since there was little effort to explain the the story arch.
Also, Michael Bay did the same thing he did with Bad Boys 2- he went WAY over the top. Unfortunatly, in the effort to surpass expectations moviegoers had, many of the scenes end of seeming confused, or thrown together almost haphazardly
although i will recommend seeing this movie to my friends, i will be warning them not to get their hopes up

This movie was definitely made for the IMAX experience. I enjoyed the story line, as well as all the action and special effects. I would like to have seen more interaction with Sam and Bumblebee. The ending was a little quick..but I know they are just getting us ready for part 3. My advice--don't miss it on the big screen.

Saw this movie in an IMAX theater. It's not worth the extra money. Use the money on popcorn and see it on a regular screen. I really didn't notice much of a difference if one at all from a regular theater other than the screen is slightly curved toward you and is taller. I get the same effect sitting closer to the screen at a regular theater and the sound system wasn't any different either.

There are too many sequels that fall so very short of the original film. On the other hand there are a small select group of films that equal or exceed the original film, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is one of the latter. The plot was original, the characters showed development, the action was great, and the special effects were fantastic. I do have two bones to pick with the makers of this movie. First, all of the additional obscene language in the film was not necessary at all in this movie. Second, some of the sight gags that were obviously aimed at the adults were not needed either; too many kids will be attending. Other that those two points, this is a great movie so go see it and have fun.

saw it in the IMAX - best place to see it - lots of action - hard to follow sometimes - but it was good on teh special effects. Not for young children though - lots of violence
