First off, this was one of the most anticipated sequels in the history of movies, and that shows with the record sales on a Wednesday night opening. This movie definitely delivered with action. The CGI is almost too good as you are at awe watching the CGI admiring how good it looks, then you miss something in the film. However, there were many things lacking. The ending looks rushed like they threw it together as they delivered the film to the theatres. Scenes were cut too short leaving the viewer saying "That's it??" 3 stars from me based on intense action and quality of CGI. More characterization of the robots, longer scenes would have delivered a 5 out of 5 to me.

I've saw it opening day on Wednesday. I saw in IMAX yesterday (Saturday). The experience was 100 times better. Seeing movies in IMAX is the only way a movie should be seen.

When I saw the first Transformers movie I thought, "They got lucky, and this can only go downhill with sequels."
And was I ever wrong - this is even better than the first movie. Bigger effects, more action, and even some additional storyline. This was the fastest 2.5 hour movie I've ever been too.
If you have only time to see one movie this summer, Transformers Revenge should be it!

Transformers 2 is a fun ride worth the price of admission, but they should have cut Bay's budget by $40MM and the length of the film by 20 minutes. The action is AMAZING and the effects were very well done. Sam's parents provide great comic relief, but the desert climax is way too long and the battles are all over the place which can be a bit confusing unless you really know which robot is which. I also could have done without Skids and Mudflap, two annoying and insulting robots who took a stereotype too far in my opinion.

The 2nd installment of the Transformers series is exactly what one would expect of a movie about giant robots. Action, action and destruction galore! The movie never got boring. The only negative was some of the humor was in bad taste for the younger crowd. Folks cheered and clapped in my theatre which is a clear indication of enjoyment.

Fast, fun...exciting and it just doesn't let up. I'm not sure I liked the 'twins' so much but that's the only possible flaw (and it's tiny!). Loved the big screen and the amazing sound. Go see this for the fun and adventure. A solid follow-up to the original and I'm already ready for the next in the series! I'll see this one again!!

The people have spoken and the critics are once again shown how stupid they really are sometimes. Just like Michael Bay's Verizon commercial - explosions galore, Autobots and Deceptions rule the day. Pulse pounding and a decent story line to boot! The jokes are well done and anybody complaining about the twins and how they are being portrayed should get a life. It is a movie not a social documentary on life. Get over yourselves people! Take a deep breathe and enjoy the ride! How will Michael Bay and his team top themselves in the next movie will be the only question.

Is it popcorn fluff? Sure, but it's well done, entertaining, glorious popcorn fluff. For all the people who have complained of it's length being too long: What is your problem? I thought the movie was wonderful. Funny, sad and plenty of action. The music was excellent and went along with the mood of each scene which is very important, you do not want a action style music in a sad scene. I can not wait to see the 3rd one, I think it has to be in outer space possably the planet transformer and I think this one is where the autobots and transformers team up to destroy a common enemy.

In brief, it was full of action, the smaller side actors were more convincing the the main actors and the story line still is not that of the original. To top it all off there are several bullsh*t moments that detract from taking the movie seriously in a real world sense, which is half its attraction. Overall it is a fun movie that will keep you fairly entertained never really letting you get bored but also not really feel that you will buy this when it comes out or want to watch this 50 times.

I'm on the fence about this one. Did I enjoy it? The short answer, yes. The action was amazing. The funny moments were funny. Skid and Mudflaps were hilarious, if a bit stereotypical. The story was passable. I told a friend that there were as many amazing moments as there were moments that fell flat. Nothing about the movie was particularly bad. There was a lot of information and back story to process in this movie's 150 minute run time. I have a feeling that I'll enjoy it more the second and third time around.

loved the movie. imax made it even better. people are so finicky about frivilous things. the storyline was more complex then the first one but it was still awesome and the last 40 mins of the movie were beyond great

This is definitely the better of the two. The graphics are amazing. It was intense throughout the whole movie. The comedy was hilarious. This is just an all out great movie. I will definitely watch it again.

Who really cares about Megan Fox when you have robots in disguise??? IMAX was a must for me!!! Special effects as well as sound Enginering Oscars that were awarded to winners in years past should reaward themselves to this magnificent work of art which allowed me to be 8 years old again!
